General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) and Maggie seem poised to have a dangerous reunion. This nanny’s explosive secrets could change everything, so let’s talk about what’s in store.
There had already been some hints about Esme’s nanny being the only person she’d managed to bond with. In addition to those mentions, the character now has a name.
Esme referred to her old nanny as Maggie and eventually reread one of her letters, so it seems she’s telling the truth about their closeness.
In that letter, Maggie expressed concern about Esme heading to New York and warned that no good could come from contact with her father.
That suggests Maggie realizes Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) is Esme’s bio dad and knows the vicinity of his prison facility.
Since Maggie also knows Esme came to New York with Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez), what’s to stop Maggie from tracking Esme down?
Better yet, someone like Nikolas could use his Cassadine resources and find Maggie for a reunion with Esme.
During the March 13 episode, Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) wondered how much of Esme’s latest sob story Nikolas was buying.
Nikolas insisted that he pretended to buy all of it – though it seems like he’s buying at least some of it for real deep down.
Perhaps Nikolas was simply telling Ava what he thought she wanted to hear, especially since he was trying to get back in bed with her!
Of course, it’s also possible Nikolas is indeed playing Esme like Spencer, but arranging a Maggie reunion is reasonable any way you slice it.
Either Nikolas could think he’s doing Esme a favor or he could bring Maggie to town as someone who could prove useful for a takedown.
After all, Maggie apparently knows Esme better than just about anyone except for maybe Ryan.
It’d be smart to present this wildcard to Esme and throw her off her game.
Maggie’s knowledge of Esme and Ryan’s biological connection could be a problem for the serial killer’s twisted daughter.
Even if Maggie just shows up in Port Charles on her own, she knows too much!
Esme could easily find herself struggling to contain the threat.
Since Esme has talked about the sudden, tragic deaths of her adoptive parents, Maggie could also shed some light on what actually happened to them.
Esme honestly doesn’t even seem that upset over those losses, so we wouldn’t be surprised if she killed her adoptive mom and dad herself.
Maggie could have some clues that point in that direction, so that’s another way her arrival could cause problems.
Bottom line, Esme could gain a friendly face and someone to talk to if Maggie comes to town, but Maggie would probably be more trouble than she’s worth.
Maggie could put Esme’s whole plan in jeopardy – and there’s a good chance that’s exactly what she’ll do.
Now that the character has been given a name and we’ve seen her letter, the stage has been set for Maggie to enter the picture.
