General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) could be pregnant with Nikolas Cassadine’s (Marcus Coloma) baby, which would mean she’s carrying the new Cassadine heir.
Esme was just talking about how proud she was to be associated with the Cassadine family – even if it was just for a short time.
That was mostly about puffing up Nik’s ego and pulling him closer, but it could also be a hint about the future.
Esme may be poised to secure a long-term link to the Cassadines instead.
Since Esme has always wanted a family she could belong to, maybe she could create one herself by having Nikolas’ baby.
Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) dodged a bullet when Esme’s pregnancy test turned out to be negative.
It was a giant relief since Spencer didn’t want to be tied to Esme forever.
Sadly, Nikolas may not be so lucky now that he’s hooked up with Esme as well.
It would be awfully soapy for Spencer to find out his on-again, off-again girlfriend is pregnant by his own father!
That false baby alarm seems like the perfect setup for Esme to be pregnant for real.
Esme would be all set when it comes to locking in a piece of the Cassadine fortune – not to mention Esme would have the perfect excuse for exposing the truth.
Esme told Nikolas that “Spence” never had to know about the betrayal, but that’s obviously not the plan Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) has in mind.
Ryan pushed Esme to seduce Nikolas and destroy his marriage to Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West), so Ava has to discover the scandal along with Spencer and everyone else.
Esme would have a good reason to break her vow of silence if she had a pregnancy shocker to spill.
Of course, there’s no guarantee Esme will actually have Nikolas’ baby if she’s pregnant.
Miscarriages and unfortunate accidents are common on soaps, especially if there’s a nearby staircase and an enemy to blame.
Even so, the show could get some great drama out of Esme’s potential baby bomb – at least for a while. As other GH news comes in, we’ll pass along updates.
