General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, April 22, reveals that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) managed to bust Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) burning evidence – or at least on the verge of it! Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) also had a concussion and a broken promise to make up for, so here’s how all the GH drama played out.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) led a toast to celebrate his adoption of Leo Quartermaine (Easton Rocket Sweda).
Several friends and family members gather to be with Leo, Ned and Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) on this special occasion.
At one point, there was talk of a merger between Aurora and ELQ.
Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) seemed more interested than Ned, who was left wondering where he’d fit.
Olivia also mentioned how Leo loved his new theater program, which involved a play to help kids on the spectrum.
Olivia encouraged Leo to give his family a sneak peek of the poem he was supposed to read, so he dashed off to get his notecards.
Unfortunately, Leo seemed upset once everyone was ready to hear that poem. Leo refused to read it, threw the note cards down and ran upstairs.
Olivia worried she’d handled it wrong, but Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) suggested maybe it was just a case of stage fright.
Since both Brook Lynn and Chase had experience in performing, Olivia thought maybe they could have a chat with Leo later.
Brook Lynn kept wondering if Chase was ever going to show up and seemed frustrated since he promised to be there.
At the hospital, Chase got dressed and was annoyed since he couldn’t use his cracked phone.
Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) pointed out that Chase got a concussion last night and wasn’t ready to release him yet.
Although Chase thought he just had a clumsy accident and knocked something off the shelf while investigating, the alternative worried Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst).
Liz worried the stalker was to blame and learned about Aiden Spencer’s (Enzo De Angelis) Ouija board mission as well.
When Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) stopped by The Savoy, she heard about the party going until 4:00 a.m. last night.
Jordan said must’ve been a “hell of a party,” but Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) got a bit defensive.
After Jordan pointed out she was just joking, Selina Wu (Lydia Look) was eager to meet with Curtis for their appointment.
Jordan found out the fake story of Selina wanting to book the place for a family event and suggested it’d be better if Curtis was booked that day!
Selina finally handed over Marshall Ashford’s (Robert Gossett) sealed arrest record once Jordan left.
Selina warned that when you go looking for skeletons in the closet, you usually find them.
Selina hinted that there’d be no turning back if Curtis opened that file, but he indeed opened it once he was alone.
Curtis seemed agitated over what he found while Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) spoke to Marshall on the pier.
Trina found out Marshall might be leaving town for good, so she did her best to convince him to stick around.
Soon after, Trina headed to The Savoy and gave Curtis updates on what had just happened.
Curtis then met up with Marshall before he could get on his boat to leave Port Charles.
Back with Jordan, she wanted to make sure Chase’s incident wasn’t related to the criminal case.
Jordan wanted Chase to stay out of the investigation due to his suspension, which worked out well anyway since he had an apology to make.
Chase got Portia to call him a rideshare after he was released, so he showed up at the Quartermaine mansion with flowers for Brook Lynn.
Brook Lynn hoped Chase had a good excuse for being late!
Jordan investigated the scene at Elizabeth’s house and picked up the small statue that whacked Chase in the head.
Meanwhile, Liz installed an app so she could view the security camera feeds on a new device.
Liz was nervous as she watched the footage with Jordan and Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton), but the video cut out right before Chase’s collapse.
Jordan realized the video file was corrupted, so that left Liz looking unsettled.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Carly talked to Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) about Harmony knowing more about the Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) situation than she was letting on.
Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) wound up overhearing something about Harmony’s drunk display, so she was taken aback over the news – though she knew Harmony had been upset lately.
While Carly headed over to Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) place, Sam made amends with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) following their recent tiff.
Dante and Sam knew they had to be more understanding of each other’s perspective, so they kissed and made up.
At Alexis’ house, Harmony was surprised to learn she’d bought a drink for Alexis and encouraged her to drink it.
Harmony was hazy on the details of what happened, but she assured Alexis she was sorry and that it wouldn’t happen again.
However, Harmony freaked when she found out about Smoltz’ (David Lautman) story and worried it could lead to the truth coming out about Willow not being her biological daughter.
Alexis still thought Harmony should tell Willow the truth, but she vowed to keep all the commune stuff out of the story.
That wasn’t good enough for Harmony, who demanded that Alexis kill the story completely.
Harmony felt that Alexis owed her and would do this if she was truly her friend.
Alexis didn’t think a true friend would put her in this position and thought they should revisit their living arrangement once she returned from work.
After Alexis left, Harmony decided she needed to burn the Neil Byrne’s (Joe Flanigan) files and put all her secrets to rest.
Harmony put all the papers in the fireplace and then realized there were no matches.
While Harmony went to get some, Carly showed up at the door. There was no answer, but she saw Harmony’s car and decided to enter.
Harmony found the matches and lit one right as Carly walked through the door. Carly was definitely curious about what Harmony was doing!
