General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Friday, April 8, teases that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will confess to Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) while Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) considers a plea change. Brendon Byrne (Josh Coxx) will also plot a quick cash grab, so let’s talk about what’s coming up.
For starters, Sonny will make an admission to Scott. After Scott shows up for a visit, Sonny will confess to underestimating him.
Scott is never going to be Sonny’s favorite person, but he can respect how Scott’s fighting for Trina – and now for Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), too.
Of course, Sonny will inevitably have some concerns about Scott going after Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) in court.
This is a tricky situation, but what Sonny wants most is for Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Viron Weaver) to have as much love surrounding him as possible.
Since Willow and Michael are refusing to budge on Grandma Nina visits, they’re forcing this court situation and know what they’re getting themselves into.
However, Willow will hope they can work a specific angle.
There was a time when Willow wanted to keep Harmony at a distance, but she’s been letting her mother back in bit by bit – and that means allowing her a little time with Wiley as well.
Willow will mention Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) to Michael and will suggest they can use that relationship to their advantage.
It could prove to the judge that Michael and Willow have open hearts when someone’s willing to make improvements.
Sadly, Willow and Michael think Nina has gotten worse instead of better.
They don’t believe it’s in Wiley’s best interest to be around Nina, so they’re willing to let this turn into a courtroom battle.
While Michael and Willow prepare for war, Nina will sense a different kind of trouble.
Nina will try to support someone during a difficult time, so could that be Harmony or perhaps Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West)?
Regardless, Nina will put her own issues on hold and focus on helping someone else if possible.
Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) will also prove helpful to Trina as she contemplates whether she should change her plea to guilty.
Although that would end Trina’s court drama and might even help her avoid jail time, there are no guarantees.
Plus, Trina is innocent and would certainly struggle to claim guilt here. It’d be a flat-out lie and would mean adding to the injustice of all this.
Marshall can’t tell Trina what to do, but he might praise Curtis for the guidance he already gave Trina.
Curtis wants Trina to consider her options and figure out which ones she can endure.
Could Trina really live with pleading guilty when she’s not? Not the Trina we’ve all come to know and love!
Unless Trina is written out of character, she’ll hopefully stick to the plan and fight for an acquittal.
Next, Selina Wu (Lydia Look) will get her wish when Curtis agrees to hold high-stakes poker nights at The Savoy.
Curtis will offer up the backroom Selina wants, but he’ll have some very specific rules to follow – especially one he’s not willing to negotiate on.
Selina should have no problem reaching an agreement here and will gladly give Curtis what he wants in exchange.
Sonny was unwilling to use his own resources to look into Marshall’s past.
Now Curtis can ask Selina to do some digging and help him unseal Marshall’s old arrest record.
Selina may assure Curtis that he’ll soon know all Marshall’s secrets and be able to properly protect his family.
As someone who’s quite protective of her own fam, Selina should be all about helping Curtis – especially once her poker nights are finally on track.
Back with Harmony, she’ll snap at Brendon over the phone and agree to a secret meeting on the pier.
Harmony has no choice since Brendon knows dirt and could spill it if she doesn’t cooperate.
Brendon wants money and should demand a boatload of it soon enough.
Harmony is practically broke and can’t come up with that kind of fast cash, but Brendon may feel like that’s Harmony’s problem rather than his own.
Unless Harmony can score the money Brendon wants, he’ll reveal what he knows – and that probably involves Willow’s illegal adoption since he already threatened to call her daughter.
While Harmony deals with a blackmail bombshell, undercover Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) will team up in French Polynesia.
There’ll be a trail of clues to follow, so Anna will sense that something strange is going on.
Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) will get backed into a corner since Jennifer Smith (Holly Gagnier) caught him breaking in her safe.
Nevertheless, Valentin has a knack for getting out of situations like this and might ignite some burning desires as a distraction.
General Hospital spoilers say a sizzling moment will be disrupted, so Valentin might plant a big kiss on Jennifer just in time for Anna to spot them.
