General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Friday, December 16, teases that Ava Jerome (Maura West) will seem smug as she makes a phone call and gets someone’s attention. Now that Ava believes Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) cheated with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and got her pregnant, she’ll go all in when it comes to plotting payback.
Elizabeth may get a hint about what’s in store since she’ll seemingly call Nik with a warning.
Whether Liz suspects more Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) trouble or Ava’s brutal retaliation, she’ll worry that a trap has been set.
In the meantime, Nikolas won’t think it’s hard to guess the root of his problems.
We’ll see Nik beat himself up and perhaps point the finger at Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy), too.
Laura Collins (Genie Francis) may hold out hope that Nikolas’ marriage can be salvaged, but he’ll insist it’s too late for that.
At this point, Nikolas will be lucky if Ava lets him live!
Nikolas will grumble about his Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) troubles as well and inform Laura that Spencer is living at Wyndemere again.
Although Nikolas will feel like everything in his life’s going wrong, Laura may hope that he can turn things around.
Of course, that’ll be tough for Nikolas to do when he’s lying about Liz being his “baby mama” and keeping pregnant Esme captive.
This is a giant mess that’s only going to get messier as this storyline moves along.
When it comes to Spencer, Laura will believe he’s learned from his mistakes and can move on from his prison experience.
Spencer is still impulsive and has a hot temper based on that punch he threw at Dex Heller (Evan Hofer), but Laura may stay in the dark on that.
Back with Ava, she’ll seethe when Victor pays her an unwelcome visit and encourages her to let go of the past.
Ava may warn that Nikolas is going to suffer – and so will Victor if he dares to stand in her way.
At their hideout, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) will push Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) to trust him.
Although Anna and Valentin’s mission to clear her hasn’t paid off yet, there’s still plenty of time to make this right and destroy Victor.
Other GH spoilers say Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will concentrate on a new hook-related clue.
There’ll be a lead for Dante to follow, so he’ll give Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) updates and hopefully inch closer to catching the killer.
Next, it appears Cameron Webber (William Lipton) and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) will have a private heart-to-heart.
Will that involve a split like Josslyn has been planning or will they stick together for a while due to all the Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse) chaos?
Rory’s condition will remain dire as his doctors work to revive and stabilize him.
Sadly, some dreadful news is brewing that should lead to Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) devastation.
Even if GH writers take their time letting this deadly outcome play out, General Hospital spoilers say Rory’s death is indeed looming.
