General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, February 25, reveals that Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) traded cash for a new forgery while Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) found Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) at Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) penthouse.
At GH, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) enjoyed a sweet reunion with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) following his return from Switzerland.
While Dante headed off to tell Sonny about Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) death, Sam interrupted Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) to deliver the same news.
Liz struggled to believe the nightmare was really over, but Sam confirmed Peter was truly dead this time.
Although Liz was glad to know Peter was gone for good, she didn’t get the closure she thought she would. Peter’s death didn’t diminish all the loss he’d caused.
In a moment alone, Finn suggested maybe Liz could move past the trauma of losing Franco in time and focus on the good memories.
Liz confessed the shredded dress drama and felt like a larger plot was going on with all the combined incidents.
Finn wondered if Liz was sure her boys didn’t have an issue with her moving on.
Liz knew it wasn’t Cameron Webber (William Lipton), whose heart was way too full with Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) to be doing something like this.
Liz also got denials from Jake Webber (Hudson West) and Aiden Spencer (Enzo De Angelis).
Liz said she knew when they were lying, but she decided to ask them again anyway.
Later, Liz called Betsy Frank (Deborah Strang), mentioned her card and wondered if they could meet up to discuss some news.
At Charlie’s Pub, Harmony took a call from Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and confirmed Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) would soon find out she wasn’t her biological mother.
However, Harmony backed out of confessing when she met up with Willow at the Quartermaine mansion.
Harmony lied about tracking down Willow’s birth certificate by calling in some favors and insisted a copy was being sent to her.
That left Willow relieved and sent Harmony back to the pub, where she’d previously seen a guy who conducted shady business.
Harmony inquired about getting a birth certificate forged and ultimately handed over a roll of cash.
At The Invader, Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) filled Alexis in on a new deal that would expand The Invader.
It meant Shawn would have to live in San Francisco for the time being – though he hinted about maybe sticking around if Alexis would give him another shot romantically.
Alexis made it clear that she was only looking for friendship from Shawn.
Alexis suggested that something turned off for her when Neil Byrne (Joe Flanigan) died, but Shawn thought maybe Alexis wanted it to turn back on.
After Sam interrupted, she quizzed Alexis about the close moment she walked in on.
Sam insisted Neil would want Alexis to be happy and at least thought Shawn was a better confidant than Harmony.
Although Sam still had some trust issues when it came to Harmony, Alexis stood by her friend and was glad over her second chance.
Back at Charlie’s Pub, Shawn appeared behind Harmony as she wrapped up her shady guy meeting and glared at her.
At Sonny’s penthouse, Nina tried to act like it was a mistake to pursue anything while Sonny was this vulnerable.
Sonny reminded Nina of their connection and didn’t think that was due to the alcohol.
While Nina was freshening up to leave, Dante arrived to share the news that Peter was dead.
Nina peeked in on the conversation as Sonny kept trying to get rid of Dante.
Sonny wound up snapping at Dante before apologizing since he was hungover.
Sonny insisted they’d get coffee and talk some other time, so that satisfied Dante for now.
Dante then made his way to the Quartermaine mansion, where he delivered updates on Peter’s death to Willow, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson).
As for Nina, she noted that Sonny didn’t tell Dante she was there and wrapped her head around Peter’s grim fate.
Sonny hinted about a new beginning, but Nina encouraged him to cut down on his drinking or even stop altogether.
That way, Sonny would have a clear head to figure out what he wanted.
In Carly’s office, she got a visit from Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).
They discussed Peter’s demise along with Carly’s divorce and her almost kiss with Drew.
Carly missed having Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) to talk to, but she suggested Drew had the same touch.
After Carly realized she should make sure Sonny had heard about Peter, Drew offered to go with her.
They ended up arriving at Sonny’s door right as Nina was leaving, so Carly once again caught Sonny with his Nixon Falls sidepiece!
General Hospital spoilers say Sonny and Carly have another confrontation coming up, so stay tuned.
