General Hospital Spoilers: Friday, July 15 Recap – Ava Offers No Jail Time Deal for Esme – Drew Moves Carly Out

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, July 15, reveals that Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) offered a no jail time deal for Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) while Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) suspected Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) revenge.

At GH, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) discussed the phone call about her mom’s house burning down and decided to go help Lesley Webber (Denise Alexander) handle the real estate drama in Italy.

Laura had some concerns about leaving town, but Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) offered reassurance and vowed to hold down the fort.

Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) and Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) also agreed to behave while Laura was gone.

On the pier, Ava got updates on the bartender who sold the phone to Esme. Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) explained that Esme could be conspiring with that bartender to cover her tracks.

Ava insisted she had a witch to throw under a house and took the launch in hopes of catching Esme.

Meanwhile, the bartender demanded cash from Esme and wanted to meet tonight to discuss the details of their arrangement.

Ava could hear voices outside the door, but her phone rang and blew her cover.

After a quick chat with Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola), Ava burst through the door and found Esme casually painting her toenails on the sofa alone.

Esme claimed the other voice had been on the podcast she was listening to.

When Ava complained about Esme painting her nails on the furniture, Esme suggested she was always careful when she used Ava’s things – so careful that Ava would never know.

Ava wondered “what the hell” that was supposed to mean, but Esme acted like she simply meant she respected Ava’s belongings.

After Ava brought up Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), she made Esme an amazing offer.

Ava argued that if Esme would admit to the scandalous video mess and sign a confession, she would do no jail time.

Esme could have money and a ticket going anywhere but Port Charles. Ava invited Esme to tell her the magic number that would make her do the right thing.

However, Esme kept up the innocent act and turned Ava down as Spencer appeared with Nikolas.

After Spencer learned what the offer was in private, he suggested Ava might’ve had a chance if she’d known what Esme really wanted.

Esme was taken aback as Spencer offered something that only he could give her.

Back with Ava, she told Nikolas that Esme would be out of their lives forever soon.

Curtis also got the news over the phone that the bartender had given Ava the slip.

At Portia Robinson’s (Brook Kerr) place, Trina covered with her mom and pushed Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) to keep the Spencer cemetery alibi under wraps.

Joss agreed not to tell Diane Jenkins (Carolyn Hennesy) now, but she vowed to spill it herself in court if it looked like Trina would go down.

Back with Portia, she convinced Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) to stay away from the stressful trial for the sake of her health.

Portia and Stella also discussed how Esme’s decision to target Trina might’ve been racially motivated.

As Portia got emotional, she felt she had failed Trina by perhaps letting her grow up too sheltered.

Portia worried that Trina didn’t understand the realities for a woman of color in the world, but Stella reassured her.

Since Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) was moving out of her office at the Metro Court, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) showed up to help her move.

Carly admitted she had actual movers for that and opened up to Drew about how hard it was to lose the hotel as her constant.

Drew embraced Carly as she struggled to let go of what she loved.

Over with Nina, she shut down Olivia’s attempt to buy her newly acquired half of the Metro Court. Nina had no intention of selling and vowed to be Olivia’s new partner.

Sonny approached and didn’t understand why Nina was refusing to sell.

However, Nina later told Sonny that power was the great equalizer and that one day all this would belong to Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Viron Weaver).

Sonny asked if this was really about business or just a way to stick it to Carly.

That left Nina offended and wondering if Sonny thought she was that petty.

Sonny kept acting like Nina must want a little revenge, but she reminded him that she bought it to give it back to Carly.

Instead of lecturing her about keeping her purchase, Nina thought Sonny should go lecture Carly about turning her down.

Nina thought it seemed like Sonny was more concerned about Carly than her.

After remembering how Carly once said there were three of them in the relationship, Nina wasn’t so sure Carly was wrong.

In Carly’s office, she accepted flowers from Olivia and the staff. Carly assured Olivia that they’d always be friends and wasn’t surprised about Nina’s decision to remain the co-owner.

Later, Carly took her nameplate off the door and gave her office one last look as she turned out the light.

When Carly appeared in the lobby, Sonny wanted to make sure she was OK.

Carly flashed back to realizing Nina was Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) birth mother and seemed satisfied knowing she was keeping that a secret from Nina.

After Carly told Sonny that she had her family, Drew walked her out of the hotel. We’ll keep you posted as other GH info rolls in.

General Hospital spoilers say Carly and Nina’s feud will no doubt remain a big factor as this storyline moves forward, so stay tuned.
