General Hospital Spoilers: Friday, July 29 Update – Willow’s Leukemia Warning Signs – Michael’s Cover-Up – Esme’s Escape Fails

General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Friday, July 29, teases that Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) will have some leukemia warning signs while Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) moves forward with a cover-up. Esme Prince’s (Avery Kristen Pohl) departure will also fail as Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) forces her into a major faceoff, so let’s discuss what’s ahead.

At Wyndemere, Ava will get under Esme’s skin as the claws come out on both sides.

Now that Ava knows Esme slept with Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma), she’ll want her enemy to suffer.

Esme and Ava’s fierce fight will eventually take a physical turn, so some danger will erupt in the coming episodes.

At the hospital, Willow will fear for her future and push TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) to help her understand.

Since Willow will suspect TJ is looking for something specific, she’ll wonder what condition she might have.

It turns out TJ is thinking leukemia based on Willow’s elevated white blood cell count and some other warning signs.

Whether Willow can pry that info out of TJ yet or not, there’s a good chance she’ll indeed face a leukemia diagnosis later on.

In the GH stairwell, Michael will cover up the real reason he’s meeting with Dex Heller (Evan Hofer).

Since Michael doesn’t want Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) to know Dex is a plant in Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) organization, he’ll have to lie to him.

Michael might claim he ran into Dex since the elevators were out of order.

Perhaps Michael will suggest Dex was just making sure they were cool after their previous run-in.

Brando will initially worry there’s more hostility and may think another Sonny intervention is needed.

Once Michael and Dex explain, Brando will turn his attention to Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) and some more personal drama.

Sasha is feeling rather suffocated by Brando right now, so she’ll lose her cool and warn him to stop being so controlling.

However, Brando will feel like Sasha is indeed out of control and in need of his help.

Both Sasha and Brando will raise their voices at each other, so their marriage will face some issues due to this drug battle.

Sasha could be on the verge of a relapse if the problems in her life start adding up again.

In the meantime, Brick (Stephen A. Smith) will interrogate Dex and try to get to know him a bit better.

Although Sonny will think Dex might be a good Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) substitute, Brick won’t be ready to approve him for the job – not until he does a deep dive into Dex’s past.

Next, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) will admit to his Spring Ridge field trip and how it put him in the cemetery with Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali).

Spencer will act like it was impossible for Trina to distribute the scandalous video since they were talking at his mom’s grave.

The ADA will surely poke holes in this alibi, but it could be Trina’s best shot at keeping her freedom.

Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) will try to use it to Trina’s advantage – and Spencer should earn Trina’s gratitude for finally coming clean.

Of course, it’ll be interesting to see if Spencer lands back behind bars over his confession.

Spencer wasn’t supposed to be skipping out on Spring Ridge during his stint there, so consequences may be looming.

Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) has never been a huge fan of Spencer, but she should appreciate what he’s doing for Trina once she realizes what’s happening.

That said, Portia may wish Spencer had done it much sooner!

General Hospital spoilers say Trina will ultimately get her own chance to take the stand and defend herself, so don’t miss what’s in store.
