General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, June 17, reveals that Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) skinny-dip offer shocked Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) while Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse) arrested Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) for assault. Here’s how all the GH action went down.
At the Metro Court pool, Carly was surprised to find Drew taking a swim after closing time.
Drew hoped Carly would bend the rules for him – and she was happy to since she needed this distraction after the day she’d had.
After Carly reflected on her faceoff with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), she admitted she was weirdly grateful since she finally felt free.
Drew wanted to help Carly celebrate, so he suggested going for a night swim.
Since Carly didn’t have a suit, Drew flashed a smile and offered to skinny dip.
Carly seemed a bit flustered as she took a raincheck. In the end, Drew and Carly settled on eating ice cream cones with their feet dipped in the water.
At Charlie’s Pub, Sonny assured Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) that he didn’t kiss her because of his fight with Carly – though he indeed fought with her earlier.
Sonny rehashed Carly’s issues regarding Michael Corinthos (temporarily played by Robert Adamson) and admitted she saw him comforting Nina in the courtroom.
Nina confessed that she feared she’d lose Sonny after what happened, so that act of compassion meant a lot.
After Sonny pointed out that Carly didn’t know him anymore, he thought that was to be expected since he wasn’t the same person since Nixon Falls.
It seemed like Nina was the only person who understood Sonny and his life, so she touched his face tenderly.
Both Nina and Sonny were tired of all the hurt and regrets, so they were on the same page about embracing happiness.
However, Nina wanted to go slow and build something real, so Sonny was willing to do that.
At the drive-in theater, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) charmed Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) on their official first date.
However, Anna eventually grew suspicious when Valentin started pumping her for info on Jennifer Smith’s (Holly Gagner) case and presenting theories about the French captain.
Meanwhile, Rory appeared at the bar where Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) got stuck after the brawl.
Josslyn begged Rory to bust her and let Trina go, but Rory wound up letting them both off with a warning.
At The Savoy, Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) told Selina Wu (Lydia Look) that there was a problem with the poker game, so she lashed out over a player who wasn’t vetted first.
Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) appeared with a wad of cash after winning big, but Selina had one of her men rough him up outside.
Once Cody was thoroughly beaten, Selina took back the cash since he cleaned everyone out quickly and cost her a lot of money for the night.
Cody whined that Selina couldn’t leave him with nothing, so she tossed him a $50 dollar bill.
Back inside, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) returned looking for her lost phone and wasn’t impressed by Linc Brown’s (Dan Buran) advances.
Since Linc clearly lost a ton of money and was blown off by Britt, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) thought this was the perfect time to strike.
Brook Lynn expected Linc to do something stupid so that she could blackmail him, but Chase pushed her to abort the mission.
Instead, Brook Lynn approached Linc and grabbed his phone to shut down the sale of one of her songs.
That led to Linc threatening to sell Brook Lynn’s entire catalogue for steamy videos if she didn’t give back his phone.
In fact, Linc thought that was a good market for Brook Lynn to explore.
Linc suggested there were other ways for Brook Lynn to perform – like while lying on her back.
That earned Linc a punch to the face from Chase, who paid the price when Rory showed up to arrest him soon after.
Back outside, Britt stumbled across a banged-up Cody and realized she had an obligation to check his injuries as a doctor.
After Britt determined that Cody had bruised and possibly cracked ribs, she recommended an X-ray.
Britt got Cody to his feet as he talked about hospitals being too pricey. Instead, Cody said he knew someone who could help and that they owed him.
