General Hospital Spoilers: Friday, June 24 Recap – Cody Fixates on Faison, Investigates Britt’s Legacy

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, June 24, reveals that Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) fixated on Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) as he investigated Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) legacy. Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) also admitted what would soon become a massive mistake.

At the PCPD, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) persuaded Linc Brown (Dan Buran) not to press charges against Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard), but Linc wondered what his other options were and still wanted Chase to lose his job.

Meanwhile, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) worried Chase could get fired and wanted to change her statement to seem like he saved her from a violent criminal.

Chase refused to let Brook Lynn lie for him, but it meant a lot that she wanted to help.

After Jordan summoned Chase to her office, she expressed disappointment over him landing in this situation again.

Jordan mentioned that Linc would take his complaint to the civilian review board, so there was a possibility of dismissal.

Since Chase couldn’t seem to control himself – particularly when Brook Lynn was involved – Jordan wondered why she shouldn’t just fire him now.

Brook Lynn crossed paths with Linc at Kelly’s, where he mentioned selling another one of her songs to a paper towel company.

Linc thought they could make major money by getting into jingles, so Brook Lynn tried to cut a deal.

Although Brook Lynn was willing to work with Linc if he recanted his statement against Chase, Linc stood his ground and wanted Chase out of work.

Later, an uneasy Chase returned to Brook Lynn with news to spill.

Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) also brought Cody to Kelly’s after letting him crash at his place. Cody offered a vague version of the poker game that went wrong and got a surprising recap of Britt’s twisted history.

Cody was surprised that Britt was even a doctor anymore since she went to prison.

When Dante brought up Faison being Britt’s father, Cody seemed intrigued and had a change of heart about going to the hospital.

At GH, Britt accepted Brad Cooper’s (Parry Shen) croissants and apology, but she had ulterior motives since she wanted help with a Cody mystery.

Brad admitted he knew what happened, so he explained why Selina Wu (Lydia Look) threw Cody out of the poker game – though he stopped short of letting her take the blame for ordering the beating.

Brad also wanted to talk about the secret Britt was clearly keeping, so she admitted not many people knew.

Since Brad wasn’t one of those people, he knew this must be some heavy stuff.

Britt seemed poised to come clean about her Huntington’s disease marker, but she got a call about a patient and delayed the conversation.

Soon after, Britt was annoyed to find that Cody was the patient who’d requested her.

However, Britt changed her tune when Cody acted like he’d be on the bus out of town once they were done.

Britt examined Cody’s ribs and wrapped him up, but it became obvious that he was really there to pump her for Faison info.

After Cody mentioned something about it being hard to live up to Faison’s legacy, Britt got offended.

When Britt reconvened with Brad, she changed her mind about her confession and downplayed it like everything would be fine.

As for Cody, he wound up telling Britt that he’d found a reason to stick around Port Charles.

At the Metro Court pool, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) lounged in the sun and didn’t seem worried at all about the ELQ shareholders’ meeting.

Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) watched nearby with Carly and feared Valentin might know something they didn’t.

Carly told Olivia about her personal stake in this fight since she helped drive up the price of Aurora stock.

In order to make that happen, Carly sold her half of the Metro Court to Stillwater Venture Group.

Olivia was concerned, but Carly argued that she had 30 days to buy it back and that she’d have plenty of money after the merger went through.

Nearby, Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) talked to Valentin about the merger as well as Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) plan to have Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) deported.

In a moment alone, Martin also called Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) to stress her importance at the upcoming shareholders’ meeting.

At the Quartermaine mansion, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) seemed tired and out of sorts despite her attempt to plaster on a smile.

On her way upstairs, Willow looked like she might faint and had to kneel down.

Once it was time for the shareholders’ meeting, ELQ’s chief counsel led the vote to have Valentin ousted as CEO.

In addition to the proxies, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) voted to remove Valentin, but Valentin went against that motion – and so did Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth).

Ned’s betrayal left Drew and Michael reeling, but the drama wasn’t over.

Lucy’s vote broke the tie and kept Valentin in power, so his next order of business was shutting down this merger.

General Hospital spoilers say Valentin’s upper hand will cause more problems, so stay tuned.
