General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, June 3, reveals that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) shut down Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) flight to Milan while Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) suggested a job offer for Cody Bell (Josh Kelly).
After making a quick stop to get her passport, Nina was ready for her driver to take her to the Port Charles airport – specifically the international terminal. However, Nina realized one of her heart pendants was missing and said she had to make one more stop first.
In the cemetery, Sonny held that necklace and called Brick (Stephen A. Smith) since he was worried about Nina’s next move. Brick found out Nina had purchased an airline ticket to Milan, so Sonny wanted to find her before it was too late.
Once Nina showed up looking for the heart pendant, Sonny refused to hand it over and tried to convince her to stay in town. Nina felt there was nothing left for her now that she’d lost Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Viron Weaver), but Sonny felt that Wiley might want to know his grandmother one day.
Although Nina worried about Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) making her unredeemable in Wiley’s eyes, Sonny gave the pendant back and pushed her not to run away.
Nina finally decided she’d stay despite how hard it’d be, so Sonny said she wouldn’t go through this alone and pulled her close.
At the Metro Court pool, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) wanted Cameron Webber (William Lipton) to tell her what was going on, so he seemed poised to come clean until Adam (Joshua Benard) arrived. That was the creep who previously hit on Josslyn over the scandalous video, but Adam was there to apologize this time around.
After Adam explained how Josslyn and Cameron’s article in The Invader changed his perspective, Joss accepted his apology. Meanwhile, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) groveled to Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) until she finally took him back.
Once Spencer texted that it was all good with Esme, Cameron covered with Josslyn – though she still seemed a bit uneasy and pointed out he could tell her anything.
As for Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West), she felt like the love she shared with Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) would conquer all. Nikolas kept rambling about how he thought things were over and acted like it wasn’t so simple now.
Nevertheless, Nikolas ultimately assured Ava that he wanted to fix their marriage – though he recoiled from her kiss and acted like it’d take time to regain trust.
Ava wound up telling Nikolas that she’d amend her agreement with Spencer so that he could stay at Wyndemere and still get the trust fund allowance. When Ava heard Spencer and Esme seemed to be splitting, she thought everything was looking up.
Once Esme and Spencer came downstairs, they joined Ava and Nikolas. Esme quickly realized that Ava didn’t know about Nikolas cheating and announced that she was back on with Spencer.
Ava wasn’t happy, but she agreed to let Esme stay there as part of the deal. While Spencer cornered Ava to grill her about her true feelings in private, Nikolas spoke to Esme alone.
Since they were back together with their respective partners, Nikolas was eager to keep what happened with Esme under wraps – and he made it clear that it could never happen again.
At Charlie’s Pub, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Cody regaled Sam with stories of the pranks they pulled at camp as kids. Cody grimaced in pain when he got up and mentioned an old injury.
In a moment alone, Sam asked Dante why he never mentioned Cody before. Dante acted like they simply lost touch, so Sam suggested that was a shame since Cody seemed like a good guy.
After Dante snarked about Cody being good at getting into trouble, Cody returned to the table. There was talk about Dante finding his father, so Cody marveled over Dante’s dad being the famous Sonny Corinthos.
Sam kept quizzing Cody, who admitted he was single and talked about his time as a stunt horseback rider. Cody had to give that up after taking a few too many tumbles, so now he just did other gigs all over the place.
Sam assumed that skydiving was hard on Cody’s back too, so he admitted he’d probably have to quit that soon. Cody also pointed out Sam asked a lot of questions, so Dante explained she was a PI and that it was an occupational hazard.
Although Cody was only in town for the night and had another gig elsewhere, Sam suggested she might know of a long-term job in Port Charles.
Cody had experience with handling and grooming horses, so Sam mentioned that the kids had a new horse at their grandmother’s stables. Sam thought Cody could be a horse handler and offered to get his foot in the door with Dante’s help.
That seemed to make Dante uneasy, so he acted like that probably wasn’t the right job for Cody – who was never comfortable in one place for too long. Cody backed Dante up on that.
Next on Friday’s GH episode, Marcus Taggert (Real Andrews) was about to leave Portia Robinson’s (Brook Kerr) place when he found Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) outside with Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse).
Taggert stuck around to grill Rory, which led to some tension. After Taggert asked if Rory liked breaking the rules, he wondered if that’s the reason he was with Trina.
Rory acted like there was nothing in the rules that prevented his friendship with Trina and kept trying to smooth things over, but Taggert scowled in disapproval.
However, Trina squealed with delight after Rory left and shared a fun mother-daughter moment with Portia. As other GH news and updates come in, we’ll keep you posted.
General Hospital spoilers say Rory and Trina could be on a path to romance, but it’ll be a complicated one – especially thanks to Spencer’s secret scheme! CDL will have other great General Hospital spoilers, updates and news, so stop by often.
