General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, March 25, reveals that Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) feared a prison baby and a permanent tie to Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl). Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) also refused to help Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), so here’s how all Friday’s GH drama went down.
At Charlie’s Pub, Curtis wanted Sonny’s assistance to score Marshall Ashford’s (Robert Gossett) sealed police file.
Sonny flashed back to holding Marshall’s pill bottle and refused to get caught up in a family matter.
Instead, Sonny thought Curtis should get the truth from Marshall himself. If Sonny got involved, he felt he would just make things worse.
Soon after, Marshall arrived and wondered what Curtis was doing with Sonny.
Curtis mentioned Sonny’s earlier run-in with Marshall and thought his dad should tell him about that.
At the Metro Court, Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) would only speak with Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) alone, so Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) said Nik could fill her in later.
Victor talked about how the Cassadines used to be one of the most powerful families on the planet. wanted to reclaim that influence, but Nikolas was surprised when Victor acted like this was about a business merger.
Nikolas expected something more criminal, but Victor suggested he was building his power base and hoped for Nikolas’ support.
After Marcus Taggert (Real Andrews) and Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) checked in with Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), Ava joined Portia at a table.
The women discussed Spencer’s homecoming before Portia insisted someone other than Trina should be his gallery supervisor.
At Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) place, Esme declared that the pregnancy test was none of Spencer’s business.
Esme felt there was nothing else for Spencer to say since he’d already broken her heart.
Spencer asked why Esme had the pregnancy test, so she acted like that was a stupid question and pointed out they made love right before he went to Spring Ridge.
Esme admitted she was late and that it took her 10 days to get up the nerve to buy the test, which she hadn’t taken yet.
Spencer wanted Esme to take the test right now, but she said she couldn’t stand to look at him any longer.
Esme added that it was her body, but Spencer insisted it was his baby, too – though he also thought they were getting ahead of themselves without the test results.
At the PCPD, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) warned Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) that he had to take a backseat on the video scandal investigation.
Since Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) was Dante’s stepsister, Jordan needed him to back off and go by the book.
In a classroom at PCU, Josslyn and Cameron Webber (William Lipton) were too late to explain to their professor about talking to the cops.
They wound up arguing about the video backlash briefly, but Cameron and Josslyn ultimately decided they had to be in this together.
Things were uncomfortable when Trina showed up, but they all decided the awkwardness was crazy.
Trina smiled over missing Joss and Cameron so much before Cam gave them some girl time.
Since Josslyn had been out of touch, Trina had started to worry that maybe Esme got to her – that Joss believed Trina was behind the video.
Josslyn insisted they both knew it was Esme, who had always been “psycho Nelle 2.0 waiting to happen.”
Trina regretted ever trying to compromise with Esme. Josslyn talked about how Esme viewed them both as threats for different reasons.
Joss confessed to worrying that Trina was embarrassed to be her friend because of the video, but Trina said that would never happen in a million years.
Back at Laura’s place, Esme turned on the waterworks. She didn’t know what she would do with a baby when she’d never even taken care of a dog!
After Cameron showed up, Esme said it was her body and her choice before storming out.
Spencer admitted to Cam that there was a chance Esme could be pregnant. Outside the door, Esme smiled to herself.
Back inside, Spencer tried to work out his feelings and used Cameron as a sounding board.
Esme had always been good to him, but he knew that didn’t mean she was good to everyone else.
Cameron pointed out that Esme was sneaky and vindictive, so Spencer acknowledged she was possibly the mother of his child.
Spencer worried about the baby being born in prison if Esme was behind the video and knew this could tie him to Esme for life.
After Jordan got some major info on the tip line, she decided to handle this personally.
Trina was surprised when Jordan showed up at PCU and asked her to come down to the station to answer questions.
Back with Portia, she assured Taggert that Trina and Josslyn were like sisters. They may have issues, but they’d always love each other at the end of the day.
Taggert also got a glimpse of Esme for the first time when she appeared nearby. Portia was willing to bet that Esme was behind the video.
After Ava and Victor left, Nikolas stayed behind to wait for Laura. That gave Esme the chance to tearfully ask “Mr. Cassadine” if he would help her.
Esme said her credit card was declined and mentioned needing somewhere to stay.
Esme talked about Spencer being the only guy she ever loved and hinted about how something could turn out.
Nikolas thought things would be better after a good night’s sleep, but he looked taken aback when Esme asked to stay with him.
