General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, May 27, reveals that angry Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) came home to booze and Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) while Rory Cabrera’s (Michael Blake Kruse) hot body enticed Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali).
In the courtroom, Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) grilled Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) about killing Claudia Zacchara (Sarah Brown) and the time he got custody of Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola).
After Scott acted like snatching kids was Michael’s MO, he suggested that perhaps Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) was afraid of Michael.
However, Diane put the focus back on Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and how she’d only asked to see Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Viron Weaver) twice while the Nixon Falls situation was going on. It didn’t make Nina look like a grandmother who cared all that much.
Michael spoke about Nina trying to squeeze in a final visit with Wiley before her actions came to light. There was also talk about Nina telling Wiley that Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) wasn’t his real mother.
Michael made it clear that his actions weren’t about revenge. This was about Nina’s pattern of behavior and Michael’s desire to protect Wiley.
After Michael mentioned Nina’s attempt to redeem Nelle, Diane put Nelle’s thick criminal record next to Michael’s thin one before the judge.
During a court recess, Nina tearfully told Sonny that she did what she had to do and hoped he could understand, even if forgiveness wasn’t possible. Sonny touched the side of Nina’s face tenderly – which Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) noticed – but he ultimately left without saying anything.
As Nina was headed out of the courtroom, a livid Willow grabbed her and snapped that she wasn’t going anywhere!
At GH, Amy Driscoll (Risa Dorken) barged in on Chet Driscoll’s (Chris Van Etten) conversation with Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) about his dream job in Chicago. Amy admitted to sending the resume and explained why she was trying to keep them apart.
However, Amy had a change of heart and now wanted Chet to turn down the job. Once Chet was alone with Terry, he also felt he couldn’t accept the position now. Terry, on the other hand, insisted that Chet had to take it.
At the gallery, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) interrupted Trina’s warm moment with Rory, so Rory took off for the Metro Court pool.
Rory wound up reserving two chairs to lounge in and seemed hopeful. Trina bickered with Spencer as usual before showing up at the pool, where she seemed transfixed by Rory’s hot, wet body emerging from the water.
Rory offered the chair he reserved for Trina along with a nonalcoholic beverage, so they shared some flirty moments and seemed very into each other.
Spencer showed back up at Wyndemere fuming about Trina, so that led to another Esme faceoff. Esme threatened to not be there when Spencer got back, so he put on a fake smile and tried to calm her down.
However, Esme was still agitated, so Spencer decided she was impossible to talk to like this and took off.
As for Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy), he tried to push for a compromise between Nikolas and Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West).
Unfortunately, Ava and Nikolas were unable to reach one. Nikolas was upset over the trust fund offer Ava made to Spencer and felt like she was driving his son away when they were making progress.
Although Nikolas felt like Ava was forcing him to choose between her or his family, she said she thought she was his family, too. Ava suggested if there was a choice to make, then maybe she had to choose whether to stay for all this Esme drama or walk away.
Nikolas was offended over Ava acting like he’d come crawling back, but that’s indeed what Ava expected since she was the best thing to ever happen to him. Ava knew Nikolas would realize that and hoped he didn’t do it too late.
Soon after, Ava cried to Victor as she worried her marriage was over.
Meanwhile, Nikolas made his way back to Wyndemere and seemed tense as he poured himself a drink. Esme appeared behind Nikolas looking as devious as ever, so her seduction plot was obviously about to heat up!
