General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Friday, October 14, tease that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will get some huge news while Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) makes another horrible mistake. Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will also grill Cody Bell (Josh Kelly), so here’s what viewers can expect.
Before we jump in, we should mention the preemption that happened on Thursday, October 13. News coverage pushed Thursday’s episode back to Friday, October 14, but we’ve got the scoop on what’s in store.
In Jacksonville, Carly will chat with Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman), so we’ll see if Bobbie catches a quick flight down or just gets her daughter on the phone. Regardless, Carly will have plenty to spill thanks to all this cemetery drama.
Since Carly has decided she might want to reinvent herself with a different last name, perhaps she’ll settle on Spencer.
This would be the ideal time for Carly to pitch the idea to Bobbie and get her blessing on a Carly Spencer transformation.
Of course, Carly will be on edge as she awaits updates on the guild’s vote.
Although Carly made a passionate speech to shut down the parkway, will it be enough to stop the project and save the cemetery?
Carly will bump into Peyton Honeycutt (Linda Purl) and ask about that vote, so it looks like Peyton herself may divulge the results.
This will be huge news either way, so Carly will pass the results along to Drew, too.
Over with Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson), he’ll get some guidance from Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) as she tries to stop his next mistake.
However, it’ll be Lucy who makes the biggest blunders since her life will legitimately be in danger.
Lucy doesn’t know it yet, but Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) is onto her.
Victor noticed the phone in his new suite had been moved slightly – and traces of Lucy’s signature strawberry lipstick were left behind.
Now Victor realizes Lucy was eavesdropping on his phone conversation with Deputy Mayor Eileen Ashby (Heather Mazur).
Victor had hoped he could trust Lucy, but he’ll assume she’s just been playing him to score information.
Naturally, that’ll put a target on Lucy’s back, especially since she’ll press her luck and approach Victor again.
Lucy will lay it on thick about how she owes Victor and has no idea how to thank him.
Meanwhile, Victor will secretly be setting a trap that’ll bring some scary moments!
As for Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), she’ll tell Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) about dirty Deputy Mayor Ashby’s involvement with Victor.
Robert will appreciate being kept in the loop, but he’ll also worry about Anna landing in harm’s way.
Nevertheless, Victor’s takedown scheme will heat up, especially since Anna will grow increasingly determined to get Lucy out of her latest jam.
At Kelly’s, Dante will quiz Cody about Mac Scorpio (John J. York) and whether he’s still gunning for him.
As a result, Cody may come clean about Mac’s interest being based on biology and not criminal activity.
Since Cody might be Mac’s biological son, he has to decide whether he wants to take a DNA test to prove the hunch.
Cody will get a distraction when Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) confronts him later and tries to end the pressure Cody’s been applying to Spinelli.
Although Cody will act like they’re even, Sam will try to intervene and make sure this blackmail threat goes away.
Sam will also speak with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) at some point, so that’ll bring a wrong assumption.
Britt will mistakenly believe Sam thinks she’s not good enough for Cody, but Sam will just be trying to warn her.
Although Sam won’t come right out and admit the match was bogus, she may point out that Society Setups is capable of getting it wrong.
Sam won’t want Britt to get hurt since Cody has ulterior motives for cozying up to her.
Even so, Britt is becoming more drawn to Cody and will track him down for a discussion soon enough.
