General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that we’ve got a May sweeps preview for you – and it’s filled with unraveling mysteries, messy love and blast-from-the-past bombshells. Here’s what viewers can look forward to in the coming weeks.
For starters, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will be a woman on a mission.
Carly will set out to discover the truth behind Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) biological parents and create more drama for herself as a result.
Carly already seems to have a hunch about Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) link to Harmony Miller’s (Inga Cadranel) wild backstory, so she’ll follow the clues and try to prove it.
Of course, GH fans know Nina is indeed Willow’s bio mom, so this secret will become a ticking time bomb sooner or later.
Carly seems poised to hide this huge news, but she can’t keep Willow in the dark forever.
In the meantime, Nina and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will grow closer despite the complex nature of their romance.
They’ll try to sort through their desires as they gear up for the Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Viron Weaver) visitation battle.
Speaking of battles, Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) will continue to prepare for that vague yet explosive one he keeps mentioning.
Victor will also remain a thorn in Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) side since she’ll struggle to control her family with Victor around.
Over with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), she’ll contemplate her feelings for Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) as they try to figure out what’s next.
Anna won’t be satisfied with the answers she’s been getting about Luke Spencer’s (Anthony Geary) death, so she’ll continue to dig.
Next, Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) will grow impatient when it comes to his darling, diabolical daughter.
Ryan will push Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) to kick her efforts up a notch and make their scheme a success.
That means more manipulation for Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma), Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez), but Esme will be on the receiving end of manipulation, too.
Spencer will do whatever he can to trip Esme up and clear Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) name, but it’s going to take some time.
That’ll give Esme time to potentially outwit Spencer – not to mention Trina will be growing closer to Officer Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse) in the midst of all this.
Cameron Webber (William Lipton) is reluctantly keeping Spencer’s secret for him, but that’s going to add to the relationship issues Cam’s already having with Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy).
Between the video scandal and Cam’s deception, there’ll be good reasons for the strain on Cameron and Josslyn’s relationship.
Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Austin Galtin Holt (Roger Howarth) will also experience some romantic woes now that Maxie’s wealth has grown substantially.
Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) was right to worry about this becoming a problem.
As for Brook Lynn and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard), they’ll face more obstacles – this time in the form of a face from the past.
Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) past will catch up with him as well and lead to Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) making some surprising discoveries.
Although Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) believes there must be a logical explanation for Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) stalking incidents, Liz will suspect Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) could be sending her a message.
While Liz consults a medium and tries to get to the bottom of things, there’ll be some ELQ and Aurora Media mayhem for the Quartermaines.
Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) will feud with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) as they try to reach a merger agreement.
Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) will focus on making The Invader the best it can be, but a familiar foe could get in the way.
Based on Valentin’s recent hint, Victor could try to use Alexis and The Invader for his own twisted plans.
Between Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) Huntington’s disease marker and all the Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) moping she’s doing, there’s going to be trouble. It turns out Britt’s life will come crashing down in a big way.
Selina Wu (Lydia Look) will work on establishing a more powerful presence in Port Charles while trying not to push too far.
It’ll be a delicate mob balancing act since Selina and Sonny have an understanding, but Selina will put all her resources to good use.
Marshall Ashford’s (Robert Gossett) storyline certainly isn’t over yet – and that means some shockers are on the way as Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) deals with his father.
There’s more that’ll ultimately be revealed about Marshall’s complicated history.
Over with Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), her life could be upended after Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Arnold) becomes unable to shake Portia’s old confession.
Jordan will inevitably remember Portia’s basement admission about Trina’s true father and feel like this is something Curtis really needs to know.
There’ll be a misunderstanding for Mac Scorpio (John J. York) and Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner), but it could be a blessing in disguise.
It’ll lead to a discussion about Felicia and Mac’s dreams for the future.
GH fans will also see fallout for Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) and Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) following Harmony’s accident.
Brando and Sasha are about to head in a stunning direction as a couple, so we’ll see if their relationship can survive.
Meanwhile, Chet Driscoll (Chris Van Etten) and Terry Randolph’s (Cassandra James) romance will go well – that is until Terry learns Amy Driscoll (Risa Dorken) is Chet’s sister.
We’ll see the hostility between Terry and Amy get worse, so that’ll put Chet in the middle of it all.
