General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that we have to ask: Is Heather Webber (Alley Mills) Esme Prince’s (Avery Pohl) mother or grandmother? GH writers have a chance at an even bigger twist if they make Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) Esme’s true father instead of Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom).
There’s certainly been a lot of Franco talk now that Heather is back in the story.
Heather is doing her part to keep Franco’s memory alive, which is interesting since the show is suddenly bringing up his name more often.
At the end of the November 28 episode, Heather had an unsettling encounter with Ryan, who didn’t look happy to see her at all.
It’s clear that Ryan and Heather have some sort of history – or at least know things about each other that could be problematic.
Of course, it’s possible that Heather is Esme’s bio mom, but we have to acknowledge that she’s a little old for that revelation.
The mom bomb isn’t out of the realm of possibility, but Heather is old enough to be Esme’s grandmother – and that makes us wonder if she just might be!
After all, there’s no proof that Ryan is Esme’s biological father.
The show’s always been vague about how Esme even found out Ryan was her dad, so there’s certainly no evidence to back him up.
Ryan’s word means nothing, so he could be using this daughter angle to manipulate Esme since a family is the one thing she’s always wanted.
Now that Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) is more involved in Esme’s storyline, a Franco link makes sense.
Liz might soften toward Esme and feel more obligated to support her if she turns out to be Franco’s bio daughter.
It could be a lingering connection to the husband Elizabeth lost, especially with Esme expecting a baby.
Then again, Liz might feel that way if Heather turns out to be Esme’s mother instead.
That would make Esme a sister to Franco, so Liz could still feel protective toward her.
Whatever the case, it was strange to see Ryan looking so agitated at the sight of Heather – like she could ruin everything.
What if Heather has some puzzle pieces she can put together that point away from Ryan being Esme’s bio dad?
Making Esme Franco’s long-lost child is possible, though that would still leave the mystery of who Esme’s true mother is.
Ryan is the one person Esme feels she can count on, so it’d shake up her world in a big way if she found out “Daddy” has been lying this whole time!
