General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that we have to ask is Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) returning to GH? Some new blind items could hint at a Jason Morgan comeback – and so could some clues on the actual show as well.
For starters, SOD recently put out some inside scoops that could apply to any of the four main soaps.
The first one indicates that a past character will be returning to one daytime drama, so there’s a chance that it’s Jason.
Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) has decided to have Jason declared legally dead, but Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) feels like that’s giving up on him.
The writing’s on the wall for Jason to come back sooner rather than later.
That’s especially true since Carly is falling hard for her Jason replacement!
Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) may not be exactly like Jason, but he’s close enough to make Carly start falling for him.
Sparks have been flying between Drew and Carly, so it’d be smart to set this up before Jason’s return.
That brings us to another blind item that could potentially apply to Steve Burton’s comeback.
There’s talk about a missing actor returning without plans to revive a once popular “twisted” triangle.
Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) triangle with Drew and Jason was once pretty popular.
It was also rather twisted considering Drew is Jason’s twin and still believed he was Jason at the time.
With Carly falling for Drew, it’s clear that any Jason-related triangle would have Carly at the center, not Sam.
That could become the hot new storyline if Jason indeed makes a Port Charles return.
There’s another blind item that talks about an actor who isn’t making friends at their soap.
We wouldn’t be surprised if Burton struggled to find friends again following his return.
After refusing to comply with vaccination policies and forcing the show to get rid of him, it’s easy to see how some costars might lose respect and find that difficult to forget.
However, Burton might’ve decided to comply after all and reached a new deal with GH.
Whether there are behind-the-scenes issues or not, Jason is a popular character that many fans are always going to want.
Of course, these separate blind items could be about different actors on different shows. There’s no way to know for sure at this point.
Even so, it’s worth considering the idea that Steve Burton might be coming back as Jason Morgan since any or all of those tidbits could apply to him.
