Willow recently learned that she’s pregnant, but she might face some other surprising news about her bun in the oven.
What if it’s actually two buns instead?
Since Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) had fraternal twins, that perhaps makes it more likely that Willow will have them as well.
Heredity on the mother’s side can boost a couple’s chances of conceiving fraternal twins, so they do run in families sometimes.
Of course, this could serve as a little hint about Willow’s birth mother down the road.
Willow might find herself wondering if fraternal twins indeed run in her family – leaving Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) to deal with the guilt of knowing that they do.
Willow doesn’t realize Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) was her fraternal twin sister, so Carly would like to keep it that way.
As far as Carly’s concerned, no one needs to know that Willow has any biological connection to Nelle or Nina at all.
However, it would raise the stakes if Willow ended up having two babies instead of one.
That’d mean a grand total of three grandchildren would be kept from Nina, who’s already been banned from Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Viron Weaver).
Naturally, it’s doubtful Carly will feel guilty for keeping Nina in the dark, but she might battle guilt regarding Willow.
This pregnancy in general could make Willow want to learn more about her birth parents for the sake of her medical history.
If Willow is having twins, that could affect Sasha Gilmore’s (Sofia Mattsson) storyline, too.
Sasha was already emotionally affected when she realized an OB-GYN consult was assigned to Willow’s exam room.
Since Sasha is still struggling over the death of Liam Corbin, she may struggle even more if Willow is pregnant with twin babies.
It could be what truly sends Sasha over the edge and forces her into rehab.
A lot of interesting drama could arise due to this Willow twin angle, so maybe that’s something GH writers will pursue.
