General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Kelly Thiebaud (Britt Westbourne) has revealed she can do both GH and Station 19, so Britt still has a future in Port Charles. Let’s talk about Thiebaud’s recent Instagram comments and mull over what her latest career move means.
After the news broke that Thiebaud would be reprising her role as Eva Vasquez on Station 19’s sixth season, fans grew concerned about Britt’s fate on GH.
Although Deadline pointed to November as the end of Britt’s run, Thiebaud later clarified on Instagram that she can do both shows.
Of course, it could be like with James Patrick Stuart (Valentin Cassadine), who was off canvas for a bit while he worked on his own outside project.
Valentin’s absence wasn’t that noticeable in the end – and he was immediately put right back into the story once he was more available to work.
That seemingly lines up with Kathleen Gati’s (Liesl Obrecht) understanding of Kelly Thiebaud’s situation. “Proud of you and very, very happy for you! Though Mutter will miss her Britta for however long she’s gone!” Gati said on Instagram.
Thiebaud replied “love you” in response to Gati’s kind words, so she didn’t correct her onscreen mom. However, a fan flat-out asked if she was able to do both GH and Station 19, so Thiebaud replied to that with a simple “yes.”
Regardless of whether Britt might have to take a backseat in Port Charles for a while, Thiebaud clearly doesn’t plan to leave the show completely.
Since Thiebaud herself is confirming she can play both Eva on Station 19 and remain as Britt on GH in some capacity, that’s fantastic news.
Britt is a great character that many fans have come to adore during her time on the ABC soap.
Kelly Thiebaud is also an excellent actress – as evidenced by her recent win for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series at the Daytime Emmys.
It’s good to know Thiebaud can somehow juggle both Station 19 and General Hospital. No matter how she actually ends up doing that, we trust Thiebaud will make it happen!
