General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Lindsay Hartley will return as a Sam McCall recast, so she’ll serve as Kelly Monaco’s temporary replacement. SOD confirmed the news, so let’s talk about what this means for Sam and when you can expect to see Hartley’s version in Port Charles.
It turns out Monaco needed someone to fill in for her while filming was going on in January.
Hartley did an excellent job as a temporary Sam recast back in August 2020, so the show turned to her once again.
Monaco wasn’t out long, so Hartley will only appear in a few episodes. Even so, it’s great that GH has someone as talented as Hartley to rely on when they’re in a bind!
You can first catch Hartley back in PC starting February 3, which is when Sam will go looking for Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) according to General Hospital spoilers.
Assuming Hartley’s version is still around for the February 8 episode, we should see her version of Sam interact with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).
That’s when Sam and Drew are set to have a deep discussion – one they’ll realize they probably should’ve had long before now.
Drew and Sam will discuss their past, so this could lay the groundwork for them to rekindle things down the road.
Sam will remain with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) for now, but it’s easy to see the pieces coming together for a reunion with Drew at some point.
Once Lindsay Hartley’s out again and Kelly Monaco is back onscreen, there’ll be even more opportunities for Drew and Sam bonding.
Of course, Sam will have more family drama coming up as well, especially since Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) is bringing more trouble to Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) world.
As for Hartley, you might remember her roles on Passions, Days of Our Lives and All My Children in addition to her temporary GH gig.
Hartley is certainly no stranger to soaps, so we’ll all give her a warm welcome back!
Kelly Monaco is already filming again and won’t be gone long, but you can indeed expect to see Lindsay Hartley temporarily starting February 3. We’ll bring you updates as other details come in.
