General Hospital Spoilers: Liz Has Dissociative Identity Disorder – Alternate Personality Behind Arson & Ring Moving?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that we have to consider the possibility that Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) might have dissociative identity disorder – meaning her alternate personality would be behind the arson and ring moving. Let’s consider the clues and talk about where things might go from here.

For starters, GH fans have been begging for a proper Liz story for years.

It seems like Liz’s storylines tend to revolve around other people, so Rebecca Herbst is long overdue for her own chance to shine.

Liz didn’t even get much focus after Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) died.

The show didn’t really highlight much of Liz’s grief, so this could be an attempt to rectify that and finally give Herbst a juicy story to sink her teeth into.

The fact that Liz didn’t appropriately deal with the loss could’ve driven her off the deep end somewhat, even if she doesn’t realize it yet.

After all, there are seemingly only two options here. Someone is either gaslighting Liz or else she’s behind the strange happenings.

We’re inclined to think it might be the latter since it’d be a stretch for someone to know the intimate details of what’s inside Liz’s home and where her belongings are.

There was already that mysterious incident where Liz’s ring moved from the kitchen drawer. Liz later found the ring in her locker at work and has been struggling to make sense of it ever since.

Plus, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) asked who had keys to Franco’s now burnt art studio.

Liz explained that to her knowledge, she was the only one who had a set other than the superintendent.

After Liz checked, she found the keys right where she left them.

The show wanted us to know Liz was essentially the only one with access to the studio, but why? They could easily be laying more groundwork for a DID storyline.

If Liz has an alter, she could have another completely different personality who’s doing things like moving her ring and setting this fire.

Of course, General Hospital would have to dive into this alternate personality’s motives, but that’s certainly something that could come later.

The point is there could be an “evil Liz” who’s doing things without her knowledge.

It wouldn’t have taken Liz long to throw some accelerant on Franco’s studio and torch the place. She may have no memory of sneaking out briefly to do it.

Liz mentioned that she wished she’d saved some of Franco’s paintings before the studio went up in flames.

It seemed like a great setup for those paintings to perhaps arrive through mysterious deliveries – maybe ones that Liz will make to herself through her alternate personality.

Naturally, there could be another explanation for all this, but Cameron Webber (William Lipton) commented on the weird timing of the fire following the ring incident – like they were connected.

Maybe Liz’s DID is the link that’ll explain everything down the road.

General Hospital spoilers say this Liz mystery will come with some intriguing twists and turns, so stay tuned.
