General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Mac Scorpio (John J. York) and Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) may be Esme Prince’s (Avery Kristen Pohl) biological parents. Is Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) not the daddy after all? Let’s consider some crucial clues that the show’s been offering up lately.
For starters, Ryan talked to Esme about her mother’s instinct for self-preservation on the May 12 episode.
After Ryan acted like he couldn’t let his guard down with Esme’s mom, he flashed back to some memories of a heated confrontation with Felicia many years ago.
Of course, that felt like a huge hint that Felicia is Esme’s mother.
This also lines up with Felicia’s recent talk about a family addition and everything she’s been mulling over with Mac.
Instead of adding a baby to the mix, Felicia seems poised to get a daughter who’s all grown up.
However, we’d go a step further and argue that Esme could be Mac’s daughter as well.
There are a couple good reasons why, so we should discuss those. When all the baby stuff kicked off for Felicia on May 2, she made some intriguing points.
Mac was taken aback when Felicia mentioned that Mac wasn’t a biological father to the children he helped raise.
Felicia felt like perhaps Mac had always wanted a child of his own.
Why make that the kickoff to the next part of the story if Mac isn’t going to be Esme’s bio dad?
GH writers could’ve set things up another way – like by having Felicia suddenly long for a baby while getting pushback from Mac.
Instead, this is very much a story about both Mac and Felicia.
There’s been confusion about what each of them wants, so Mac and Felicia have been seeking advice from others to figure out their family’s future.
Plus, the May 12 episode brought Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) talk about Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) inheriting the crazy from Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).
It was Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) who reminded Michael that if he was right, then the same idea would have to apply to Nelle and Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Viron Weaver) – and he knew Michael didn’t believe that was true.
That was an interesting point to bring up while Esme was busy interacting with Ryan at Spring Ridge.
The show wants us to believe Esme gets her own crazy side from Ryan, but what if that isn’t true at all?
Maybe Ryan has simply manipulated Esme into believing she’s his biological daughter.
Ryan might even believe it himself, but it’s not like we have DNA evidence to prove it at this point.
Based on everything we’ve seen and heard so far, it’s perhaps more likely that a big twist is coming up.
This story is a rewrite anyway, so Mac may learn he’s the daddy along with Mama Felicia!

Will Esme turn out to be Mac and Felicia’s daughter in the end?
