General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Mac Scorpio (John J. York) may be revealed as Cody Bell’s (Josh Kelly) biological father, so this potential dad could get a huge shock. GH fans know Cody recently offered up a few more details about his background.
Cody admitted Dominique Stanton (Shell Danielson) was his mother, but the Bell family took him in and raised him when Dominque couldn’t or wouldn’t.
By the time Cody found out the whole truth, Dominique was dead and whatever he might’ve scored as an inheritance was gone.
Of course, Cody was clear about Dominique having him before Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) came into the picture.
Scott isn’t Cody’s biological father, so we have to consider who his true dad might be.
One option is that Cody’s father was Leopold Taub (Charles Lucia), the abusive husband Dominique was once trapped in a loveless marriage with.
Scott speculated that maybe Dominique gave Cody up for his own protection.
Between Leopold and the villains he had ties to, Dominique might’ve felt Cody would be safer with the Bell family.
However, that doesn’t really explain why Dominique felt she had to hide this from Scott since they shared everything with each other – or so Scott thought.
Dominique’s motives for giving Cody up and hiding it remain a mystery. Honestly, anything goes since this is a total rewrite of GH history anyway!
With that in mind, there’s another option that would certainly shake up this storyline and cause it to collide with a different one.
Mac was also romantically involved with Dominique once upon a time, so he’s worth considering as a bio dad candidate.
In recent months, Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) has pointed out that Mac never raised any biological children.
It left Felicia concerned that perhaps Mac felt a void as a result, though he assured her that wasn’t the case.
Since Felicia is obviously Esme Prince’s (Avery Kristen Pohl) mother, that led to speculation that Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) might’ve lied about being her father.
There were good reasons to think Mac might be Esme’s bio dad up to now.
In light of the new Cody revelations, maybe Felicia and Mac are getting separate long-lost children.
Ryan might remain Esme’s dad – leaving the door open to follow up on that biological angle another way for Mac.
Despite all Scott’s pondering, he can’t nail down the truth without Dominique around to explain.
There would be some value in giving Cody a living father on the current canvas, so Mac might be a nice fit.
Will Mac find out Dominque had his son all those years ago?
Mac could form a strong bond with Cody if given the chance, so it’ll be interesting to see if that’s where this hot plot is headed.
