General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) may get kidnapped by Austin Gatlin-Holt’s (Roger Howarth) mysterious boss. Consequences could come as promised since Austin isn’t listening about dropping his Port Charles gambit and reentering the fold.
GH writers are leaving fans in the dark on who exactly Austin works for, but we know it’s a woman.
The guy sent to collect Austin is his cousin, Mason (Nathanyael Grey) – and he passed along a message from a boss that’s a “she.”
It’s possible Austin’s boss is someone else in his extended family based on that “reenter the fold” comment.
On the other hand, this could be a situation where Austin’s family works for someone else who’s unrelated.
Austin obviously doesn’t report to anyone in PC, so that rules out Selina Wu (Lydia Look).
This honestly seems more complicated than anything related to the mob anyway.
Other viewers have speculated Jennifer Smith (Holly Gagnier), but she got arrested in French Polynesia and doesn’t seem like a good fit for this story either.
This may be an introduction to a brand-new character instead.
The show potentially offered a clue when Austin helped Mac Scorpio (John J. York) pronounce a Ukrainian name at open mic night, which was just before the drama on deck.
Although Austin claimed a Ukrainian arachnologist studied a local spider in Pautuck, that could’ve been a bogus story.
Maybe there’s another reason Austin is familiar with how to pronounce Ukrainian names.
It could be due to Austin’s boss or where he’s been sent on missions before if there’s some kind of spy situation going on.
Of course, Austin seems to be a legitimate doctor, but he’s clearly been caught up in some shady stuff on the side.
That shady stuff that will come back to haunt Austin, especially now that Maxie has been threatened.
Is Austin’s plan just to do nothing and let Maxie land in danger? Maxie could easily get kidnapped as a way to force Austin into submission.
After all the chaos Maxie endured thanks to Peter August (Wes Ramsey), this is the last thing she needs!
Austin may have to come to Maxie’s rescue if his actions lead to a snatching and hostage crisis, so we’ll see how it all plays out.
