General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) breakup may follow the Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) bio mom reveal. Will this couple find that they can’t survive divided loyalties?
GH fans know Willow and Michael have already faced some problems in their romance due to Nina.
Willow kept quiet about the nature of Nina’s relationship with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) in Nixon Falls, which led to the secret blowing up in court.
There have also been issues since Willow is a little more willing to keep Nina in the picture for Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos’ (Viron Weaver) sake.
Michael and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) are all about punishing Nina, but that doesn’t mean Wiley should have to suffer without special Grandma time.
During the week of February 28-March 4, Willow will lash out at Nina – and there are some good reasons for that.
One of them may involve Willow learning the truth about Nina and Sonny’s hookup on The Haunted Star.
However, the deeper reason is that the show will want to complicate the big reveal that’s looming.
It’s a common trope to fuel anger between a parent and child before their true connection is exposed.
Since Willow is Nina’s biological daughter, that’s definitely going to make a bigger mess down the road.
If Carly finds out that secret link and hides it for revenge, it’ll make things even messier! There’s the potential for Michael to side with Carly like he always does in the aftermath.
Michael may also argue that this shouldn’t change anything for their family.
Michael will remain wary of letting Nina get too close – and that’s just not going to work for Willow once she realizes Nina is her biological mom.
Deep down, Willow knows Nina has a good heart.
Nina has made tons of mistakes, but she’s not the villainous mastermind that Carly and Michael make her out to be.
Willow’s going to see that and ultimately embrace Nina as her mother, so that’ll spark serious drama with Michael.
