General Hospital Spoilers: Monday, April 25 Recap – Harmony Drives Carly to Cliff – Marshall’s Mental Institution Cover-Up

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, April 25, reveals that Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) drove drugged Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) to the cliff while Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) addressed a mental institution cover-up. Let’s talk about how Monday’s GH episode played out.

At the Quartermaine mansion, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) accepted Harrison Chase’s (Josh Swickard) flowers and expressed concern when she learned he’d been knocked out.

Chase reassured Brook Lynn and nearly kissed her, but they kept getting interrupted – first by Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) with merger talk and then by Leo Quartermaine (Easton Rocket Sweda).

Leo got an explanation for why Chase missed the adoption party. He also received some stage fright pointers and wound up reciting his theater group poem to Chase while Brook Lynn smiled.

At the gatehouse, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) showed up and hoped Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) could help him make amends with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell).

Michael showed up and insisted that Sonny should speak with him directly, so they had a heated confrontation.

Sonny argued that he didn’t want the divorce, but Michael defended Carly’s decision since she caught Sonny in bed with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).

When Sonny tried to bring up Carly landing in bed with Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher), Michael acted like his dad was just trying to justify his own behavior.

From this moment on, Michael saw no reason to have contact with Sonny. He wanted nothing more to do with Sonny and declared he was done.

Michael suggested he’d redeem the Corinthos name and make people forget it was associated with Sonny, violence and crime.

Michael said it’d be like Sonny never existed.

Although Sonny said he’d always love Michael, he wouldn’t forget this. Sonny warned that if Michael wanted forgiveness, then he’d have to beg.

Michael urged Sonny not to hold his breath, so Sonny replied that he wouldn’t.

After Sonny stepped outside and away from Michael’s earshot, he told his son goodbye.

At Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) house, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) informed Liz that someone had jammed the cameras that Chase installed.

It left Jordan certain this was a deliberate act.

Once Jordan was gone, Aiden Spencer (Enzo De Angelis) showed up to insist Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) ghost was behind everything.

Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) didn’t think Franco would want to scare Liz and the boys, so he urged Aiden to consider living possibilities first.

Despite Finn’s insistence ghosts weren’t involved, Liz seemed unsettled as she thought back to all the creepy Franco-related incidents that she faced.

On the pier, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) pointed out that Marshall missed his boat and confronted him over the sealed arrest record.

Marshall realized Curtis broke the law to get it and lashed out over his son putting everything at risk.

Curtis was upset over Marshall acting like he left his family over some huge life-changing thing.

Curtis said that according to this file, Marshall was simply arrested at a protest that got out of hand and sent to a mental institution for evaluation.

After Marshall insisted it was a mistake to reconnect, Curtis argued that he’d rather know the truth.

Curtis wasn’t OK with all the lies and secrets, but he wanted his father.

Curtis thought they should use this opportunity for a fresh start, so he asked about Marshall’s diagnosis.

Marshall hoped the answer was in the file that Curtis broke the law for. He insisted Curtis would get no more answers from him.

In Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) office, Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) got updates on some of Harmony’s recent behavior – including how Harmony wanted her to kill Smoltz’s (David Lautman) story.

Diane ultimately convinced Alexis to stick to her decision to run the story.

They also worked out a plan to put Harmony up at the Metro Court while Diane reached out to Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) about getting her a new place.

At Alexis’ house, Harmony told Carly that she was just burning some personal documents and tax stuff.

Harmony lit the papers in the fireplace with the match and faced Carly’s questions about what was going on with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).

Harmony denied that Nina was blackmailing her and tried to downplay the fact that she worked in the same building where Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) cared for comatose Nina.

Although Harmony was full of excuses, Carly remained suspicious.

Harmony hinted that when you want to be a mother so badly, you’ll do anything to make it happen.

Harmony acted like she sympathized with Nina, but Carly kept pushing.

When Carly mentioned Harmony saying Willow wasn’t hers the night before, Harmony suggested she was talking about their old estrangement.

Harmony claimed she still feels that separation sometimes like Willow isn’t fully hers.

Harmony left the room briefly, so that gave Carly a chance to find some notes in the bag she left behind. Carly also rummaged through the fireplace and picked out some burned pieces of paper.

After Carly saw that Harmony was burning Neil Byrne’s (Joe Flanigan) files and read bits of info, she realized Willow wasn’t Harmony’s biological child. Harmony confronted Carly with a syringe she’d been holding behind her back, so that led to an intense struggle.

Once the syringe fell on the floor, Carly and Harmony both dove for it as they tried to fight for control.

By the time Alexis came home, she found the remnants of the fire and saw that the house looked like a disaster area. Alexis couldn’t reach Harmony, so she called Diane and feared Harmony was having some sort of breakdown.

After Alexis thought back to the secluded spot that Harmony liked to visit, she decided she knew where to look for her. By the dangerous cliff, Harmony was sitting in her car with unconscious Carly in the trunk.
