General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Monday, August 1, tease that Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) will ignore Ava Jerome Cassadine’s (Maura West) death threat while Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) busts Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell). Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) will also fear a jailed Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) again, so let’s talk about what’s in store.
At GH, TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) just won’t get why Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) doesn’t want Michael there to support her.
Michael would want to know about Willow’s potential medical crisis, but she just won’t see the point in ruining their happiness – not until she has more information.
TJ will admit Willow might have leukemia, but they’ll need to do more tests to be certain of anything.
While Willow keeps Michael at a distance, he’ll get caught on a shady phone call – and Sam will be the one who’s doing the catching!
Sam will eavesdrop and suggest it doesn’t take a PI to know what Michael is up to.
Will Sam hear enough to know this is about Michael going after Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard)?
Regardless, Michael will stick to the plan while Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) heads back to court.
After Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) coaches her client to be the heroine in her own story, Trina will take the stand and hope she can do exactly that.
Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) will be grateful for Spencer’s latest move and will have faith in Trina’s testimony, too.
However, Portia will still worry it won’t be enough to convince the jury that Trina isn’t to blame.
As for Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma), he’ll warn that Spencer might’ve just thrown away his freedom.
Spencer admitted to arranging an “off-the-books day pass” with the help of a bribe, so that could send him back to prison – perhaps a harsher facility where there’s no chance of day passes.
Although Spencer won’t like the thought of getting locked up again, he’ll insist he had to step up and do what was right for Trina.
Of course, Nikolas will also need to admit what happened with Esme.
Spencer is going to find out eventually, so it looks like Nik may go ahead and confess to sleeping with his son’s ex-girlfriend.
Then again, Nikolas and Spencer’s confrontation could get delayed or at least derailed once it’s in progress.
Nikolas will soon be alerted by the staff at Wyndemere since Esme and Ava’s faceoff is about to escalate.
Ava just delivered an ultimatum, so she expects Esme to clear Trina’s name or else no one will find Esme – at least not while she’s still breathing.
Just in case there was any doubt, Ava will reiterate that Esme needs to tell the truth or it’s the end of the line.
Esme will ignore Ava’s death threat and continue to underestimate her.
That could turn out to be a big mistake, especially since Ava may get her hands on Esme’s letter to Maggie Fitzgerald.
Esme has been doing her best to conceal that letter, which could blow the lid off the secret that Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) is her biological father.
That’s the kind of news that could infuriate Ava and lead her to follow through on that death threat she’s making.
It looks like Ava’s shocking discovery is brewing – and the aftermath will indeed lead to some deadly ramifications.
Esme could find herself hurled off the parapet in the coming episodes if she’s not careful!
At GH, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) will get some support during her first day back at work.
Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) will be there for Liz, who’ll be taken aback over something he says.
It looks like Finn may spark some sort of memory for Elizabeth, who’s on the verge of remembering something new – or at least something buried long ago.
Perhaps this will be the start of Liz getting to the bottom of her trauma.
Finally, Mac Scorpio (John J. York) will catch someone’s eye at the pool, so Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) will decide to do something about it.
Felicia may be a bit jealous, but she’ll also mark her territory – not that it’s necessary since Mac only has eyes for her.
