General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Monday, August 1, teases that Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) will face a strange memory while Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) becomes the heroine of her own story. Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) will also have an ultimatum for Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl), so there’ll be some big things happening in Port Charles.
At the courthouse, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) will fret over Trina’s situation and whether enough has really been done to save her.
However, Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) will think Trina can step up and save herself if she gets on that stand with total confidence.
Trina will eventually testify and defend her innocence, but Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) will be more concerned about Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) and the legal complications he just created.
Spencer could get locked up again now that he’s admitted his escape from Spring Ridge, so Nikolas will warn his son about that.
Of course, Spencer had to come clean for Trina’s sake, even if he fears it was all for naught.
Other GH spoilers say Esme and Ava’s fight will get out of hand.
Ava will turn up the heat on Esme with an ultimatum, so Esme can either confess the whole truth or it’ll be the end of the line for her.
As angry as Ava is right now, Esme really shouldn’t test her on this.
Ava hinted that if Esme didn’t cooperate, no one would find her while she was breathing.
This “end of the line” ultimatum will certainly back up this idea of a deadly fate.
Esme will refuse to help Trina, especially since it’d mean sacrificing her own freedom.
As Ava rips into Esme, the staff will grow concerned and get in touch with Nikolas about the commotion.
Nikolas needs to come clean to Spencer about his hookup with Esme, so we’ll see if he has the chance before this staff alert.
Whatever the case, Nikolas will soon realize he needs to get back to Wyndemere and settle things down.
Esme had better watch her back since Ava could be awfully tempted to hurl her off the parapet in the not-too-distant future.
Meanwhile, Liz will get a visit from Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) at GH.
After finally going through all the appropriate channels, Liz will be back on the job following her Shadybrook stint.
Since Liz still has some trauma to work through, that should become the next phase of her storyline.
Finn’s going to say something he’ll probably find insignificant, but it’ll turn out to be a huge deal for Liz.
A memory will surface that perhaps gives Liz a better understanding of her past, but it’ll seem odd at first and may take some time to sort out.
Next, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) will be on a rather mysterious phone call when Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) eavesdrops nearby.
There’ll be some shadiness that Sam apparently picks up on, so she may call Michael out on his Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) agenda.
Michael would be at the hospital with Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) if he knew what was really going on, but Willow is pushing him away.
As TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) continues to wonder why, Willow will insist she doesn’t want to add to Michael’s problems or taint their pregnancy experience.
Willow will want to wait until she has her test results first, but that wait will be excruciating on Monday’s show.
That’s why Willow will push TJ to admit his suspected diagnosis, so he’ll ultimately confess that he’s thinking leukemia.
Over with Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner), she’ll see someone checking Mac Scorpio (John J. York) out at the Metro Court pool.
Felicia will shut it down in a comical way and make sure everyone knows Mac is hers alone.
