General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Monday, August 22, tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will offer an invitation while Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) hints at some truth bombs for Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez). Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) will also face an unbearable treatment decision, so here’s what viewers can expect.
First, the Quartermaine charity picnic will draw many familiar faces, including Sonny and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).
Nina will playfully question Sonny about his motives for inviting her, but she’ll no doubt accept and look forward to another date.
Meanwhile, Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) will warn Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) that his plan may be going down in flames.
Michael will get updates on Sonny’s latest outburst, which happened because Dex hid the fact that he was discharged from the military for assaulting a superior officer.
Although Dex had a good reason, he’ll worry that wasn’t enough to smooth things over.
Sonny pushed for time to decide whether Dex was worth the trouble, but Michael may think that’s a good sign. Perhaps Michael will argue that Sonny is just making Dex sweat a bit.
Even so, Dex will fear Sonny is suspicious of him in general now.
There’ll be concerns about this scheme falling apart, but Michael will surely push Dex to stay calm and earn back Sonny’s trust.
At the Metro Court pool, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) will enjoy some time canoodling.
Curtis will manage to catch Portia off guard, so that could be with talk about the future.
As this couple continues to celebrate Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) freedom, Curtis will hint about some dream scenario and suggest that’s exactly where he’d be for the rest of their lives.
Portia will love all the positivity, but she’ll remain on edge over the paternity secret she’s keeping.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will accuse Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) of using Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) in her plot against Linc Brown (Dan Buran), but she’ll deny it.
Although Brook Lynn does benefit from the situation, she’ll make it clear that she believes in Chase’s musical talent and wants him to succeed.
Later, Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) will recruit Brook Lynn for a sneaky plan to push Dante and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) in the right direction.
Brook Lynn and Olivia will move forward with a love potion plot that’ll change the game in more ways than one.
At the hospital, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) will get the feeling that TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) is trying to get rid of her.
TJ might want to wrap up and get ready for the picnic with Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos), but that’ll just give Jordan a chance to talk to Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) if he does.
Jordan and Marshall will need to clear a few things up now that Trina’s case is over. Since the most important thing is that Trina’s free, Marshall and Jordan may wholeheartedly agree on that.
Willow will also show up for her appointment at the hospital, so that’ll give Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) the opportunity to go over her options.
It’s be ideal for Willow to start treatment right away, but it could be detrimental to the baby’s development and even cause miscarriage.
Willow won’t accept that, so she’ll wonder what else she can do.
Britt and Terry will acknowledge that Willow could delay her chemotherapy, but that’d put her own health in jeopardy.
Willow doesn’t want her cancer to spread, but she may have to risk it to protect her unborn child.
While Willow mulls over another round of bad news, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) will think he’s found a more permanent Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) solution.
Since Nikolas won’t want anyone finding out about the parapet fall and Ava’s involvement, he’ll hope his new plan works.
However, Ava will meet with Spencer and hint about some truths that would lay him to waste!
Spencer may wonder what bombshells Ava is alluding to, but will she have a chance to spill?
It’s possible Nikolas will come along and delay the inevitable, but Spencer should learn at least part of the story in the not-too-distant future.
GH spoilers say Spencer will face the truth later during the week of August 22-26, so he should eventually learn Nikolas slept with Esme.
As for the parapet fall, we’ll see if Spencer becomes part of the secret circle on that, too.
