General Hospital Spoilers: Monday, August 22 Update – Willow Rejects Medical Advice – Dex Warns Michael – Nik’s New Esme Plan

General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Monday, August 22, teases that Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) will reject medical advice while Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) warns Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell). Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) will also have a new Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) plan, but Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) will have a shocking plan of her own.

At the Quartermaine mansion, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) will take offense when Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) acts like she’s using Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard).

Brook Lynn will think her arrangement with Chase is mutually beneficial and will truly believe in his music career.

That said, Brook Lynn and Chase could use a chance to focus on pleasure instead of business for a change.

The Quartermaine charity picnic will provide the perfect opportunity, but Brook Lynn will end up in cahoots with Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) first.

Olivia will be determined to make sure Dante and Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) romance heads in the right direction.

Brook Lynn will agree to help Olivia with her scheme, which will involve some sort of love potion that’s legendary in the Falconeri clan.

At GH, TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) will seem like he’s trying to cut his conversation with Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) short.

That could be for a pleasant reason if TJ wants to finish his shift and get over to the picnic with Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos).

However, it could also be for a somber reason if TJ wants to reach out to Willow before her upcoming appointment.

Willow will indeed make it to the hospital as promised, so she’ll have a tough discussion with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and Terry Randolph (Cassandra James).

Now that Willow knows she has leukemia, she’ll need to listen to her treatment options.

Willow will immediately dismiss option one since moving ahead with chemotherapy would be dangerous for her baby.

Terry and Britt will think Willow needs treatment now, but she’ll refuse to risk a miscarriage and will want to delay chemo until later.

If Willow can at least wait until after her first trimester, the odds of her baby surviving will be far greater.

Of course, Willow’s cancer could spread if she waits, so she’ll have to face a harsh reality – and she still won’t be ready to tell Michael the truth just yet.

In the meantime, Michael will find out Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) ripped Dex to shreds over his assault on a superior officer.

Once Dex explained everything, he seemed to earn a little respect for defending an abused family.

Nevertheless, Sonny doesn’t like the fact that Dex initially withheld information.

Dex is also a bit of a wildcard in Sonny’s eyes, so he’s trying to figure out if he’s worth all the drama.

Dex will feel like Michael’s plan could go up in smoke if he’s not careful. Sonny’s latest suspicions will make Dex worry about what the future holds.

If Sonny figures out Michael and Dex’s plot, this will turn into a total catastrophe.

Despite Dex’s warning, Michael may think Sonny will come around and may even like the fact that Dex needs a little taming.

Next, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) will treat Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) to a relaxing day at the pool and will discuss his dream scenario for the future.

Portia will be taken aback when Curtis starts talking about living the rest of their lives together.

This could be a setup for Curtis to revisit the idea of a marriage proposal eventually.

Regardless, Curtis is committed to building a family with Portia and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), who is secretly his biological daughter.

Trina will also be part of the conversation with Ava meets with Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez).

Ava will suggest Spencer always has selfish motives for his actions, so she’ll wonder what his angle was when he helped Trina.

Spencer had to do everything in his power to give the jury reasonable doubt – though he may admit he liked the idea of Trina respecting him again.

Ava will ultimately hint that some secrets she’s keeping, so Spencer may be curious what she means.

We can’t forget that Ava has the power to blow up Spencer’s relationship with Nikolas.

Spencer deserves to know his father slept with Esme, but Nikolas might interrupt and attempt to shut down Ava’s confession.

Although Nikolas will have an idea to hopefully contain the Esme situation, Ava’s loose lips with Spencer could be a problem.

Whether Ava tells Spencer the truth now or he finds out later, he’s on the verge of a scandalous discovery during the week of August 22-26.

Spencer should eventually hear about Nikolas’ hookup with Esme, so we’ll see if he finds out about the parapet tumble as well.

Back with Jordan, she’ll speak with Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) about Trina’s dropped charges.

Marshall may not approve of how the investigation was handled, but he’ll be glad justice prevailed in the end – and Jordan will feel the same way.

Just before the Quartermaine picnic begins, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will ask Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) to come with him.

Nina will tease Sonny about his agenda, but their main goal will just be to relax and embrace their romance.

General Hospital spoilers say Nina and Sonny’s relationship will really start to bloom, so stick with the ABC soap.
