General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, August 29, teases that Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) raced Ava Jerome Cassasine (Maura West) to GH while Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) revealed her deadly heartbreak to Cody Bell (Josh Kelly).
At the Quartermaine mansion, Josslyn tried to throw Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) out before an irritated Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) appeared.
After Joss stomped off, she was horrified to find Ava with blood gushing from her abdomen. Josslyn realized she didn’t have her phone, but Ava didn’t want to be left alone.
However, Josslyn at least had to step inside the boathouse and get something to stop the bleeding.
Ava passed out before Joss returned with a towel, so there was no one to put pressure on the wound.
Joss yelled for help before Dex finally came along and leapt into action. Josslyn called 911, but Dex decided the only way Ava would survive is if they took her to the hospital themselves.
Once Dex got Joss’ help applying a bandage made from the towel, they carried Ava to the car and rushed her to GH.
After Ava’s medical team took over, Josslyn gave Dex back his bloody phone.
Joss also suggested that if Ava survived, Dex would be the reason why – though he made it clear that it was a team effort.
Next, Nina caught up with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) while Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) pumped Sonny for any info he might have on Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) illegal dealings.
Sonny only knew about Victor helping Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) to escape Spring Ridge – though Spencer had been too loyal to rat him out.
Speaking of Spencer, he was drunk as Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) tried to help him understand that fathers screw up sometimes.
Victor eventually took over and privately admitted he knew about Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) sleeping with Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl).
Although Victor was concerned about Spencer blabbing, Spencer didn’t want people finding out that his father slept with his girlfriend.
Victor wondered how much of the last few hours Spencer could remember, so Spencer admitted not much – and that was the way he liked it.
In the stables, Britt slapped Cody over his kiss, but he didn’t see what was so awful about being into each other.
Cody invited Britt to leave if he was misreading things, but she admitted to liking him – and liking someone was terrifying in Britt’s opinion.
Britt opened up about finding someone she could be totally honest with, so she was obviously talking about Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).
After Britt confessed the universe killed that special someone, Cody expressed his condolences.
Cody suggested that if they kissed again and Britt felt nothing, she wouldn’t have to be fearful. Britt kissed Cody and once again felt something, so she decided she’d risk another date.
Over with Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) and Mac Scorpio (John J. York), they realized that Dominique Stanton (Shell Danielson) might’ve given birth when she was at Shadybrook and not even realized she had a baby.
Mac just didn’t get why Leopold Taub (Charles Lucia) would give up an heir that gave him an even greater hold on Dominique’s fortune.
Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) came rushing over eventually with the news of an attack on the property.
Mac did some investigating and found the bloody spot where Ava’s ordeal took place.
Later, Sonny met back up with Nina and got updates on Ava’s attack. Nina wanted to be there for Ava, so they headed for the hospital.
Anna also received a text from Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) and revealed Ava’s attack to Valentin.
When Nikolas found Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) walking around with a head wound, she admitted she didn’t remember how she got there from the stables.
Liz explained how Finn had gone behind her back and had another memory staircase memory flash.
Elizabeth then snapped out of another small trance and felt like she was missing more time.
Liz also didn’t know how she was supposed to be in a relationship without trust, so Nikolas insisted she couldn’t – though she quickly realized he was thinking of Ava.
Nikolas acted like Ava committed the worst betrayal of all in the end and confirmed that his marriage was done.
When Finn came over hoping to talk to Liz, Nikolas tried to stop him. Nevertheless, Finn pleaded with Liz not to shut him out.
As the news of Ava’s attack continued to spread, Nikolas found out and felt he should go to his wife.
Mac wanted everyone gathered near the boathouse to stay since the police would need to take their statements.
