General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, February 14, reveals that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) had a drunk night together while Chet Driscoll (Chris Van Etten) rescued Terry Randolph (Cassandra James). Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) also plotted her next revenge step, so let’s talk about all Monday’s GH drama.
At Charlie’s Pub, Terry flirted with Chet, who flirted back until he realized Terry was meeting a blind date in a teal shirt.
Terry’s real date was named Tanner, so he appeared and took Terry off to a nearby table.
Unfortunately, the date didn’t go well at all. Tanner kept ranting about capitalism and put mysticism above science.
Terry got offended over some of Tanner’s comments and eventually insulted his hair plugs.
Chet eavesdropped nearby until he finally couldn’t take it anymore. He posed as Terry’s boyfriend and acted like he just couldn’t share her.
Terry insisted she always came back to Chet, so Tanner declared this wasn’t a match and took off.
After Terry thanked Chet and introduced herself, she accepted his offer to buy her a drink.
Terry complained about the dating app, but Chet didn’t think someone as cool, smart and beautiful as her should give up on love.
Terry thought Chet was gallant and handsome, so there were definitely some flying sparks. In the end, they shared a toast to “never saying never.”
Meanwhile, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) told Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) about Carly’s plan to divorce him.
Nina didn’t think she could be objective and had no regrets about sleeping with Sonny, but she insisted she just wanted his happiness.
Sonny argued that if Carly moved forward with this divorce, it was over.
Although Nina hated to leave Sonny drinking alone, he said he’d be fine and urged her go.
Once Sonny was alone, he ripped up an anti-Valentine’s Day card – breaking the heart in two.
After Felix DuBois (Marc Anthony Samuel) ran into Carly and found out about her marriage troubles, he insisted on taking her for a night on the town.
When Carly and Felix arrived at The Savoy, they found Britt and Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) downing shots nearby.
Brad wound up going off with Felix alone to apologize for his past mistakes. He hated that he hurt Lucas Jones (last played by Matt Trudeau) and so many others.
Felix argued that Brad couldn’t keep beating himself up and felt Brad had an opportunity to do some good in the world.
Brad acted like his future wasn’t up to him – clearly meaning Selina Wu (Lydia Look) was in charge.
However, Brad covered and just acted like there were consequences to his actions.
Felix suggested a potential new career path for Brad and knew Lucas hoped Brad could rebuild his life.
Back with Britt, she was getting more plastered by the second.
Britt and Carly snapped at each other before talk turned to the loss of Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).
They ultimately decided they’d rather do shots than cry and wound up having a drunken good time together.
At home, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) complained about Esme’s penchant for breaking the rules after she found a bottle of nail polish on the sofa.
Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) defended Esme a bit since he knew she probably felt abandoned, especially with Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) in Spring Ridge.
Laura still thought Esme was a bit of an entitled brat, so Kevin vowed to speak to her and made plans for romance with his wife later.
After Kevin left, Laura summoned Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) and handed over a gift that Spencer had left behind for her.
It was a book featuring the work of an artist that Trina liked.
Trina marveled over Spencer remembering and hoped Esme was off taking Spencer more than just the same old stuff.
Trina felt Spencer needed things like art and poetry to get through his prison stint.
At Spring Ridge, Esme put her hands over Spencer’s eyes and startled him.
Spencer warned that you should never sneak up on someone in prison, but he ultimately apologized for being so jumpy.
Esme brought some of Spencer’s favorite fancy things – like an Italian face cream.
Spencer wondered if Esme got his headphones from the cabin, but she argued that she hadn’t been back or even thought about that place.
When Spencer asked about his friends, Esme got ticked off and eventually thought coming tonight was a mistake.
On her way out, Esme asked to visit Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) and discovered that her access to him had been restricted.
Kevin showed up and confirmed that he was behind the ban, so Spencer got updates and wondered why Esme was trying to see that “psycho kook.”
Esme warned Spencer that mental illness wasn’t a joke and defended her interest in Ryan because of the class she was taking.
After Esme left in a huff, she wound up back at Laura’s place.
Esme overheard Laura talking to Trina about how much Spencer valued her friendship. She wasn’t happy about that, but she offered a phony smile to cover.
Later, Esme mentioned turning in early since she had an errand to run in the morning.
Esme thought back to the cabin and how she set up the phone to record Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) making love to Cameron Webber (William Lipton).
As for Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West), she gloated to Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) about Carly and Sonny’s marriage woes.
Ava suggested this was a chance to bring Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) home. She argued that Sonny’s infidelity and marriage blowup weren’t a good look for the custodial parent.
Nikolas eventually got Ava to admit that she was enjoying Carly’s unhappiness.
Ava thought it was karmic justice after the way Carly and Sonny had been gatekeeping her child for years – offering crumbs of time with Avery and expecting her to be grateful.
Ava was glad she could finally be herself with Nikolas, who felt the same way. Afterward, Ava tied Nikolas up for a kinky bedroom session.
Over with TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow), he took a call from Jordan Ashford (last played by Briana Nicole Henry).
TJ told Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos) that his mom might be coming home sooner than planned.
After TJ opened Molly’s Valentine’s Day present, he said her gift was waiting back in the honeymoon suite.
Molly and TJ ended up there to cap off their night with some lovemaking.
