General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, February 28, reveals that Betsy Frank (Deborah Strang) made a disturbing visit while Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) confessed that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) knew he was off his meds. Here’s how Monday’s drama went down.
After Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) wrapped a voicemail asking Betsy to meet up, she ran into Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) at GH.
Liz wondered if Scott had picked up on any resentment from her boys regarding her decision to date Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton).
Scott admitted that Jake Webber (Hudson West) most definitely resented it, but he also felt that Jake was just being a teenager and complained about a lot of things.
Although Scott didn’t think Jake was behind the moved wedding ring, he felt someone else could be harassing Liz and wanted to be kept in the loop on any other fishy happenings.
Liz chose not to tell the full story and urged Scott to visit the client he came to see.
Suddenly, Betsy appeared and admitted she was already in town at Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) grave when Liz called.
Liz and Betsy discussed Peter’s death before Betsy suggested it was almost like “Bobby” was still there sometimes.
After Liz said she was slowly starting to move on, Betsy scowled and insisted she already knew.
Liz brought up seeing pictures of Liz and Finn on social media, so Liz hoped Betsy wasn’t bothered by her new romance.
Next, Scott interrupted and asked Betsy if she’d kidnapped any kids lately!
After Betsy took off, Liz filled Scott in on the card she received and worried that maybe Betsy was pretending Franco wasn’t dead.
Liz suggested that perhaps in Betsy’s mind, she was cheating on Franco. Scott soon decided that Betsy was suspect number one in the Franco mystery.
When Liz returned home, she was stunned to find a portrait that Franco had painted of her.
Liz was visibly rattled as she gazed up at the unsettling art in her living room.
At Charlie’s Pub, Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) accused Harmony Miller (Ingo Cadranel) of still hanging out with criminals.
Shawn only cared because of Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), but Harmony argued that Alexis was perfectly capable of taking care of herself.
Shawn insisted the point was Alexis no longer had to take care of herself – not since she was out of Spring Ridge and surrounded by loved ones.
Shawn warned that Harmony would do well to watch her step.
At The Invader, Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) expressed concern about the “hypothetical” birth certificate situation.
Diane knew Alexis wanted to protect Harmony and understood why, but she wanted Alexis to be sure Harmony deserved her support.
After Harmony interrupted, Diane headed out and left the two of them alone.
Alexis was eager to hear how Willow took it when Harmony revealed she wasn’t her birth mother.
Harmony was then forced to admit she couldn’t come clean. Harmony filled Alexis in on the bogus story she gave Willow and how she was getting another birth certificate forged.
Although Alexis didn’t approve, she noted that Harmony stuck by her when it wasn’t easy. Alexis intended to stick by Harmony, too.
At home, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) offered updates to Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) regarding his kiss with Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton), who was visiting Bensonhurst for a while.
Finn got Chase to open up about his feelings for Brook Lynn, but Chase was hesitant to rock the friendship boat.
Nevertheless, Finn gave Chase a nudge to at least try for a romance.
At Sonny’s penthouse, he wondered what Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) were doing there.
Carly guessed she didn’t have to ask Sonny and Nina that question!
Nina said she was just about to leave anyway, but Sonny shared a tender moment alone with her and offered his gratitude for how she handled things last night.
After Sonny rejoined Carly and Drew, he found out this visit was to make sure he knew about Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) killer being dead.
Sonny felt he knew all he needed to know and was happy that Peter August (Wes Ramsey) died like the dog he was.
Carly wanted to get a few things straight with Sonny alone, so Drew headed for Charlie’s Pub.
That’s where Drew ran into Nina, who said there was no need to track her down.
Drew insisted he just came to get something to eat and ended up thanking Nina for keeping the secret regarding Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) baby.
Nina also thanked Drew for everything he did to save Maxie, but the conversation headed downhill quickly.
Drew lashed out over Nina being selfish and letting all the mob drama erupt by hiding Sonny’s survival.
Drew felt that Carly could’ve died and refused to let his friend keep getting hurt.
Nina argued that she had no intention of hurting Carly again, but Drew acted like Nina expected a free pass for her mistakes.
Although Nina suggested she was moving on and wasn’t a couple with Sonny, Drew wondered if Sonny knew that.
Back at the penthouse, Sonny wanted to postpone Donna Corinthos’ (Ava Rose) first visit and admitted he’d gone off his medication for a few days.
Sonny assured Carly that he was back on track, but he wanted to make sure he was feeling 100 percent before Donna came over.
Carly remembered a conversation with Nina and realized she must’ve known about Sonny going off his meds.
Sonny admitted Nina figured it out, so Carly ranted about that being “classic Nina” – clearing her conscience with that halfhearted attempt when she should’ve told the whole truth.
Carly felt this was another sign that Sonny couldn’t trust her, but he didn’t want Carly coming back to him out of pity.
After they parted ways, Sonny signed the divorce papers while Carly did the same in the hallway.
Over with Shawn, he told TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) about his plans to move to San Francisco and learned TJ had found a new place to move in with Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos).
Shawn made sure TJ and Molly were still going to see Alexis since he was worried about her affiliation with Harmony.
General Hospital spoilers say Harmony could indeed cause serious problems in Alexis’ world, so stay tuned!
