General Hospital Spoilers: Monday, June 6 Recap – Marshall’s Schizophrenia Story – Liz’s Dissociative Fugue Mystery

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, June 6, reveals that Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) told his schizophrenia story while Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) dissociative fugue mystery deepened.

At Shadybrook, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) interrupted Liz’s visit with Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and passed along some flowers. There was talk about Liz’s doctors diagnosing her with dissociative fugue due to the sleeping pills, but she still needed to figure out why it happened psychologically.

Liz suggested she convinced herself she was ready to move on when she wasn’t. Although Finn had a way of making Liz feel like everything was going to be all right, that was an issue. Liz feared if Finn kept coming around, she’d start to believe that and would never find out what was wrong.

Finn agreed to go, but he vowed not to give up on his relationship with Liz and said he’d be there someday when she’s ready.

Afterward, Finn spoke to Laura privately and wondered whether the root of Liz’s problem was something besides losing Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth). Laura pushed Finn to respect Liz’s request for space, but she eventually rejoined Liz and asked more questions.

Since Liz took the sleeping pills for over a year, Laura asked if there was something more recent that might’ve triggered the behavior. Liz seemed uncomfortable and cut the conversation short by suggesting she needed to lie down.

Once Finn met up with Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) at GH, they also discussed the possibility that Liz had repressed something beyond Franco grief. Terry mentioned Liz’s parents, so Finn wondered if they’d been contacted and thought maybe someone should.

At the Metro Court pool, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) spoke to Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) about Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and how it was a good thing she wasn’t Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) biological mother.

Once Willow and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) arrived, Drew took Michael aside for some ELQ talk. That left Willow to rant about Nina and admit all the drama helped her reach a decision regarding her birth mom.

Willow saw firsthand how blood didn’t make a family and didn’t want to go looking for trouble, especially since she thought this woman probably abandoned her on a commune. Carly was pleased over Willow’s decision to let the matter go.

In the Quartermaine stables, Leo Quartermaine (Easton Rocket Sweda) gushed over his new horse while Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) and Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) looked on.

Once Ned was alone, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) showed up with some equestrian gear for Leo – though he was really there to give Ned another push to team up.

Valentin wondered what Ned’s price was, but Ned acted like Valentin couldn’t afford it – not when he was asking him to betray his family. From where Valentin was standing, Ned was the one being betrayed!

Valentin argued that the CEO role was filled no matter what, but he could make it so they were practically equal at ELQ. Ned seemed skeptical, but Valentin argued that 50 percent of something was better than nothing.

Back at the Metro Court pool, Michael expressed concern about giving Ned the CEO role he wanted. Drew was also worried about Michael’s fractured relationship with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), but Michael admitted his father wasn’t dead to him yet.

Michael wanted to crush Sonny first – and he wanted Sonny to know it was him. After that, Michael said that Sonny could get around to dying.

Drew feared Michael might do something he’d regret, but Michael acted like the plan was already in motion and turned the conversation back to business.

Valentin eventually showed up to taunt Michael and Drew, so Michael grew worried about what Valentin had planned before the shareholders’ meeting.

After Willow and Michael left, Drew couldn’t help but notice that Willow seemed a little off. Carly downplayed it, though she wasn’t eager to accept Drew’s praise about being a great friend either.

Carly eventually brought Drew’s attention back to Aurora Media and her offer to buy stock, which would drive the price up. Despite how Michael pumped the brakes recently, Carly wanted to help save ELQ.

While Marshall was freshening up following the trip home, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) filled Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) in on the pill discovery. Portia offered to look at them and see what they were for, but Curtis felt that Marshall should tell his side of the story.

Later, Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) spoke to Curtis in private and wondered when he would make Portia an official part of the family. Curtis acted like it was awfully soon to propose, but Stella made a speech about not wasting time.

Even so, Curtis mentioned his divorce and how it was still so fresh. Stella seemed a little out of sorts over that comment, but she said the last few days were just catching up with her.

Soon after, Marshall appeared and was terrified since it was time to tell the truth. After Marshall took responsibility for letting his boys believe he was dead, he talked about what led to that choice.

Marshall served in Vietnam and found purpose in protesting one he came home. However, Marshall wasn’t getting much sleep around that time and began having paranoid thoughts.

After a protest got out of hand, Marshall had an episode and wound up in a psychiatric ward on a 72-hour hold. That led to Marshall being diagnosed with schizophrenia, so he confessed the news to Curtis.

As other GH updates become available, we’ll keep you posted. General Hospital spoilers say Curtis will have some questions about Marshall’s condition, so stay tuned. CDL will have all the gripping General Hospital spoilers, updates and news, so check back often.
