General Hospital Spoilers: Monday, March 14 Recap – Esme Holds Nikolas’ Hand, Blames Carly for Bruise – Selina’s Unsettling Gift

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, March 14, reveals that Esme Prince (Avery Kirsten Pohl) held Nikolas Cassadine’s (Marcus Coloma) hand after blaming Carly for her bruise. Selina Wu (Lydia Look) also offered an unsettling gift to Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), so here’s how Monday’s GH drama played out.

At the Metro Court, Carly warned Esme to own what she’d done or else she would find proof and make her sorry. Esme provoked Carly by making a comment about how her bed wouldn’t be cold for long, so Carly grabbed her.

That led to Esme crying out in a fake fit of agony – just in time for Nikolas to scold Carly for physically assaulting her.

After Nikolas took Esme to get her arm checked out, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) told Carly she needed to fight her own battles.

Josslyn just hoped Esme didn’t try to blame Carly for something.

Carly was determined to seek payback for Josslyn and called Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) in a moment alone.

Once Esme was examined at the hospital, she told Nikolas that she was given some medication for the pain.

Esme admitted she was just bruised – and then she passed off the bruise Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) gave her as one Carly gave her instead.

Nikolas looked at Esme’s injury and listened to her rant about being the resident scapegoat in Port Charles.

Esme said it was just so hard with Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) locked up and got Nikolas’ sympathy since the family had been hard on her.

In the end, Esme talked about how she’d get Spencer to attend the vow renewal.

Esme took “Mr. Cassadine’s” hands in her own to thank him for everything, but he said she should call him Nikolas.

At Spring Ridge, Cameron Webber (William Lipton) showed up with a cupcake and some belated birthday wishes.

Spencer basically told Cam to shove it and blamed him for filming the scandalous cabin video.

Cameron denied it and thought the real problem was Spencer didn’t want to admit the alternative – that it was either his crush or his girlfriend.

Spencer insisted he was just friends with Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla), but Cam felt that Spencer’s feelings for Trina set all this in motion.

Cameron added that Spencer knew what Esme was capable of.

After Cam swore on everything he cared about that he didn’t do this, he worried that the footage could cost him Josslyn.

Spencer softened and offered to share his cupcake with Cameron, so they had a more peaceful conversation.

Cam acknowledged that Spencer wanted to hang onto Esme, but he worried about him losing his other friends in the process.

At the Quartermaine mansion, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) talked about her hasty retreat to Bensonhurst.

Brook Lynn suggested there was no reason for her to stick around after all the baby drama, but Chase guessed they’d never know.

Chase also mentioned that when Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) stayed over, she found something of Brook Lynn’s. That led to Brook Lynn snapping at Chase for having her songbook and admitting it was the closest thing she had to a diary.

Chase confessed to looking through it and even sang one of Brook Lynn’s songs to prove her talent.

Chase suggested a songwriting career and showered Brook Lynn with compliments about what a great woman she was.

At The Savoy, Selina made a pitch to Curtis about using the club twice a month for a private social event – one that could pay off in ways beyond monetary.

Selina talked about her many connections and wanted to put Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) in charge of high-stakes poker games.

Selina told Curtis a story about a money tree and how it brought benefits through its seeds.

Curtis turned down the offer, but Selina was sure that he would reconsider once he mulled it over. Selina hinted about being a very valuable friend to have.

After Selina left, Curtis looked pensive over a special delivery.

Selina sent a little tree along with a poker chip tied to a red ribbon. There was also a note about their brewing friendship and shared good fortune.

At the Port Charles Grill, Brad assumed that Selina was still out of town.

Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) suggested they could go somewhere else if Brad was worried about Selina’s minions, but Brad opted to stay put and enjoy brunch with Britt.

Brad thought they could celebrate Britt getting him a new job, so she agreed to put in a good word for him at the hospital.

After Britt offered to let Brad take her matchmaking service membership, they shared a toast while a glaring Selina spied.

General Hospital spoilers say Selina will continue to stir the pot in Port Charles, so stay tuned.
