General Hospital Spoilers: Monday, May 2 Recap – Harmony Wakes Up in ICU – Sonny Misses Nixon Falls

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, May 2, reveals that Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) woke up in the ICU after Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) plea. Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) also missed Nixon Falls and the simpler life he had there, so here’s how all the GH drama went down.

At The Savoy, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) found Sonny, who hinted about longing for Nixon Falls on tough days.

Although Nina tried to quiz Sonny about his problems, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) showed up and dragged her off to their table.

Meanwhile, Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) wanted to pay for his nightcap with Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) since she already bought dinner.

They spotted Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) wearing a suit and failing miserably in the flirting department, so Maxie and Austin tried to offer guidance.

Spinelli approached Sonny soon after and was secretive about a new business venture he was working on.

Sonny quizzed Spinelli about Maxie, so Spinelli denied having romantic feelings for her.

However, Sonny felt that if there was a woman out there Spinelli was interested in, he should tell her before it was too late.

At the Metro Court, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) surprised Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) by showing up at her door and admitting he checked in a nearby suite.

Finn kept Liz company over dinner and played a game of slapjack with her, but he grew concerned when she mentioned hearing voices recently.

Liz explained the weird phone call where the patient seemingly said the same thing as her intruder.

Liz downplayed the whole thing, but she still felt like she was losing it. Finn was there to assure Liz that she was strong and sealed it with a passionate kiss.

At GH, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) lashed out at Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) for not being able to provide more updates on Harmony.

After Michael calmed down and apologized, Britt understood that Michael wasn’t used to feeling helpless.

After Britt spoke with the rest of Harmony’s medical team, she returned to Michael and said they needed to find Willow right away.

In the chapel, Willow was stunned as Carly explained that she found out a secret Harmony wanted to keep.

Carly admitted Harmony drugged her and drove her to the cliff, where she escaped and saved Alexis Davis (temporarily played by Stephanie Erb) from Harmony’s attack.

Willow heard about Harmony fleeing on foot after Alexis called for help and realized that’s when she was run over.

Although Willow wanted to know what the big secret was, Carly said it could wait since Britt and Michael were there with news.

Britt said Harmony made it through surgery, but she had significant internal injuries and they had to stop operating.

As far as further surgeries went, that was to be determined.

Willow found out that Harmony was unconscious in the ICU, but she was allowed visitors.

After Willow realized it was up to Harmony to survive now, she gathered her strength and decided to go see her.

Alexis wanted closure, so she found out Harmony’s room number and paid her a visit.

Harmony remained unconscious, so Alexis wondered how she was even supposed to talk to her like this.

Nevertheless, Alexis ranted about how furious she was over all the damage Harmony had done and wondered how much of their friendship was real.

When Alexis mentioned things could’ve been different if Harmony had lived a life with Willow based on honesty, Willow appeared.

Willow then took some time alone with Harmony and argued that her rehabilitation couldn’t have all been an act.

Willow cried over still loving Harmony and suggested that was something to live for.

Willow pleaded with Harmony to wake up so they could say the things left unsaid, so Harmony finally opened her eyes.

Back with Carly, she admitted to Michael that Harmony tried to kill her as well as Alexis because of Willow.

Carly didn’t want to reveal more until she told Willow, but she worried Willow had enough on her plate tonight. Michael then insisted that Willow should hear the truth.

At Maxie’s place, Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) and Mac Scorpio (John J. York) were on babysitting duty.

They gushed over Bailey Louise Jones (London and Jett Prinzo-Berendt) before Felicia wondered if Mac ever regretted not having a biological child of his own.

Mac seemed confused about what brought on this conversation, but they were interrupted by Maxie and Austin’s arrival.

After Austin raved about the foie gras he tried earlier, Mac suggested it was good that Deception went public since Maxie could afford the finer things she loved.

Once Mac and Felicia left, Austin suggested another date tomorrow.

When Maxie came up with a ton of excuses, Austin insisted she could just say so if she didn’t want to hang out.

After Britt wrapped things up at the hospital, she found Liesl and Nina arguing about Sonny at The Savoy.

Britt helped guide the two of them toward peace before Nina left the table for another drink.

Liesl complained about Britt choosing the cat guy when her daughter revealed she’d been stood up on her matchmaking service date.

Britt wasn’t sure she wanted to waste whatever time she had left on a man, but Liesl encouraged her to find love after Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).

In the end, Britt agreed to continue manhunting for Liesl’s sake.

Spinelli also shared a moment alone with Britt and advised her not to give up on her romantic pursuits, especially since matchmaking services were typically successful.

Britt joked around with Spinelli since he sounded like her mother.

After Nina was alone following her girls’ night out, Sonny reappeared so they could continue their conversation.
