General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, September 26, reveals that Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) recorded an Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) murder confession while Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) prepared to give Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) an anti-venom injection.
At GH, Nikolas handed Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) an envelope and acted like his life was inside.
Ava soon realized Nikolas had written a confession – one that took full responsibility for Esme’s death and claimed that he intentionally pushed her off the parapet.
Although Ava agreed to put it in a safe deposit box case she needed it someday, she wanted more. Ava used her phone to make a video of Nikolas reading his confession, but she warned that she wouldn’t fall right back into his arms.
However, Nikolas still felt he’d made progress today, so he seemed satisfied as he put a chocolate truffle down and left.
Ava took a bite of the truffle once she was alone.
After Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) decided to talk to Brando Corbin’s (Johnny Wactor) assistant for more info, they headed to the garage.
That’s where they found Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) stooping down over Diane’s stabbed body.
Dex insisted that he found Diane like this and added that he worked for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
Alexis called 911 while Gregory helped Dex try to slow the bleeding.
Back at the hospital, Britt talked to Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) about her imminent date and commented on the flowers Terry received from Yuri (Cyrus Hobbi).
Finn interrupted to talk to Terry about Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst), so Britt ultimately headed on her way.
At the Metro Court, Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) waited for Britt until he noticed Mac Scorpio (John J. York) sitting with Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) and Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) nearby.
Cody called Britt and tried to change their date to one at the bowling alley, but she wasn’t interested.
Once Britt showed up, she realized Cody was on edge over Mac’s presence.
After Mac got called to deal with the latest stabbing victim, Felicia approached Cody and got an earful from him about her husband.
Cody wondered just how close Mac was to his biological mother, but that wasn’t Felicia’s story to tell.
Felicia gave Cody the cell phone number where he could reach Mac, but she thought he should ask himself if he really wanted the truth.
Once Britt decided the date was over, Cody decided to take the phone number with him.
Once Mac made it to the garage, Alexis and Gregory insisted Dex had behaved heroically to help Diane.
After Gregory and Alexis went to the hospital, Mac acted like it was suspicious that Dex had shown up at a third hook-related crime scene.
Dex pointed out that his boss told him not to answer questions without a lawyer.
After Dex asked if was under arrest, Mac said he was questioning him – and that was either going to happen there or at the police station.
An officer started to put the cuffs on Dex, but Mac didn’t think those would be necessary.
Dex admitted he wasn’t going to resist, but he reiterated that he wasn’t going to talk.
Back at GH, Robert pointed out Diane’s involvement meant all three victims had a link to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
Gregory also took Alexis’ hand before she decided it was time to start a conversation with the attacker and write that open letter.
Once Diane was rushed to surgery, Finn realized they needed to provide an anti-venom serum to give her a shot at survival.
Fortunately, the shipment arrived just in time and left Finn eager to give Diane an injection.
At Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) place, she sat with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) by the fire as they discussed regrets and the fact that they’d murder each other for their children.
Things ultimately took a passionate turn as the pair kissed and headed to the bedroom for lovemaking.
General Hospital spoilers say Valentin and Anna’s romance will continue to bloom, so stay tuned.
