General Hospital Spoilers: Monday, September 5 Recap – Sasha Sobs After Recorded Meltdown – Party-Crasher Sonny Angers Curtis

general hospital spoilers

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, September 5, reveals that Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) sobbed after a recorded meltdown while party-crasher Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) angered Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner).

By the Metro Court pool, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) dodged Sonny’s questions about her earlier conversation with Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) and alluded to the significant date.

After Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) interrupted with Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard), she admitted they were together now and tried to butter Sonny up. There was also talk about it being two years since Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) slashed Brook Lynn’s throat and ended her singing career.

Sonny realized Brook Lynn needed a favor, so she admitted to hoping he could pull some strings and book venues for Chase’s performances. Chase piped up to object since any involvement with Sonny could hinder his quest to get back on the force.

Nina suggested she could talk to Curtis about Chase performing at The Savoy, so he said he could live with that. In a moment alone, Chase yelled at Brook Lynn for going too far, so she vowed not to cross the line again in their Linc Brown (Dan Buran) mission and hugged him.

At The Savoy, Cameron Webber (William Lipton) told Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) that Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) hadn’t texted him back yet, but he was hopeful she’d be there soon.

Trina also kissed Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse) right as Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) walked in and spied them. Once Trina realized Spencer was there, she spoke with him privately and declared that they weren’t friends.

Trina needed to heal and couldn’t do that with Spencer in her life, so she felt it was best if they both moved on. That said, Trina wouldn’t forget the sacrifice Spencer made when he gave up his freedom to provide an alibi.

After Trina assured Spencer that she wanted the best for him, she gave him a hug. That left Spencer looking distraught as he held onto the letter he wrote.

Spencer later filled Cameron in on his derailed letter plan, so Cam pointed out that Trina still deserved the truth. Cameron had also learned from Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) that it wasn’t a good idea to suppress feelings, so he gave Spencer a nudge to hand over the letter anyway.

Back with Trina, she complimented Rory’s dance skills and got an invite to a police banquet next month as Rory’s significant other. Rory wondered if Trina was ready for that, so she admitted she’d learned not to waste time being cautious and got on board.

Spencer ultimately crossed paths with Trina again and tried to leave without giving her the letter. When the letter slipped onto the floor, Trina saw that the envelope had her name on it and snatched it up. That left Trina questioning what this was as Spencer looked on.

While dumpster-diving together, Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) opened up about his siblings and how he didn’t get along with them. Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) also took a tumble with Dex, who ended up inches away from her face in a close moment.

That left Josslyn a bit flustered as she found Avery Corinthos’ (Ava and Grace Scarola) charm bracelet and prepared to leave for the party. Dex changed his shirt in front of Josslyn, who once again seemed uncomfortable over all the steaminess as she rushed off.

Once Joss met up with Cameron, he noticed that she’d changed clothes and got updates on the dumpster diving. Cam wished Josslyn had told him since he hated to think of her doing that all alone.

At GH, Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) opened up to TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) about the conservatorship idea and how poorly he’d handled it with Sasha. TJ offered comfort, but he suggested Sasha was the one Brando should really be talking to and offered a ride to meet up with her.

Meanwhile, Sasha met with Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) at the Port Charles Grill, where Lucy wanted to discuss Sasha’s future with Deception. Due to all the incidents lately, Lucy felt it was best if Sasha took a step back from the company for now.

Sasha said she’d be willing to step back from the fall campaign or even the winter campaign if need be, but that wasn’t enough for Lucy.

After Sasha reminded Lucy that she was an equity partner, Lucy suggested they could put everything in a trust until Sasha was deemed better. If Sasha didn’t cooperate, Lucy hinted that they’d have to vote her out.

Sasha flew into a rage, so a nearby customer filmed yet another one of her meltdowns. Once Sasha realized she was caught on camera, she lashed out at the patron and smashed his phone on the floor.

A restaurant employee tried to escort Sasha out, so she got physical with him and shouted right as Brando entered. Sasha wound up crying in Brando’s arms as she admitted she needed help.

Back at The Savoy, Curtis wasn’t happy when Sonny showed up with Nina and acted like he was party crashing. Sonny eventually realized this was about when he refused to dig into Marshall Ashford’s (Robert Gossett) sealed record.

Curtis suggested that Sonny let him down, but Sonny countered that Curtis had no idea what he’d done for his family. Marshall ultimately sauntered over to see what the trouble was.

Over with Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews), he talked about putting the past to rest – though Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) wasn’t sure that was possible. Jordan clearly had the paternity secret on her mind as Taggert reflected on Trina’s desire to save the world and where she got that from.

Later, TJ spoke to Jordan about Stella Henry (Vernee Watson), who had previously matched with someone in Port Charles on the ancestry site before finding her cousin in London.

As other GH news pops up, we’ll keep you posted. General Hospital spoilers say Jordan will have to make some tough decisions as this storyline moves along, so stay tuned. CDL’s where you want to be for the hottest General Hospital spoilers, updates and news, so make us your number one source.
