General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) may blackmail Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) to stay married. Will Nikolas use Esme Prince’s (Avery Kristen Pohl) murder against his wife?
All signs point to Ava taking deadly action against Esme in this showdown they’re currently in the middle of.
Ava may end up shoving Esme off the parapet to her presumed death in the dark waters below.
Nikolas will show up in the immediate aftermath and realize there’s no chance to play peacemaker.
What’s done will already be done, so there’ll be a deadly dilemma.
Ava won’t be sorry over Esme’s fate, but she’ll certainly become nervous about the prospect of getting caught. There’s nothing more important to Ava than being a mother to Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola), so she won’t want to land in prison – especially not because of Esme!
Nikolas owes Ava big time over the Esme hookup, so he may vow to cover for her. It’s possible Nikolas will agree to do that without any stipulations – just as a gift to make amends and prove his love.
However, GH fans know that’s honestly not who Nikolas is as a person. Nikolas is selfish, manipulative and the kind of guy who’s probably going to use this situation to his advantage.
Although Ava made it clear they were done, Nikolas told himself that he couldn’t give up. This could be Nikolas’ chance to force Ava to stay married to him.
Nikolas may think that if he can just keep the marriage intact and keep Ava close at Wyndemere, he can win her over in time. Perhaps Nikolas will blackmail Ava into sticking around and strike a deal for his silence.
In return, Nikolas may argue that he’ll cover for Ava and make it look like Esme skipped town. It shouldn’t be too hard since that’s what Esme was planning to do anyway.
Of course, the catch is Esme will likely survive and show up out of the blue down the road. That could throw Nikolas and Ava’s world into turmoil again, so there’ll be some fun places to go with this story.
