General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) is on the verge of getting dumped and perhaps disowned again. Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) will react to Nikolas’ horrifying Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) betrayal, so GH fans should prepare for the fallout of Nik’s behavior.
It’s bad enough that Nikolas betrayed Ava at all, but he cheated with someone who ranks awfully high on her list of enemies.
Esme helped torment Ava – including when she set Ava’s car on fire and planted dead Kiki Jerome’s (Hayley Erin) hospital badge at the scene.
Of course, Esme has also made Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) life a living nightmare, so Ava has every right to hate her guts.
Instead of respecting Ava’s feelings, Nikolas kept trying to take Esme’s side and allowed her to live in their home.
All of that makes Esme pretty much the worst possible woman to betray Ava with right now. Ava is going to be absolutely livid – and we don’t blame her a bit!
There’s no doubt that Ava will dump Nikolas over this, so his divorce should move forward after all.
Those papers that were recently drawn up will no doubt get signed and filed soon enough.
However, Nikolas will also have to face the consequences for what he did to Spencer.
There was a time when Spencer truly loved Esme, so the fact that Nikolas went behind his back to hook up with her is going to sting.
That’s especially true when you consider the rocky road that Spencer and Nikolas have already faced.
This is surely going to be one too many betrayals in Spencer’s eyes.
Spencer previously disowned Nikolas before ultimately softening and trying to rebuild their bond.
Nikolas and Spencer have actually made progress, but that’s about to go right out the window.
Once Nikolas finds out about Spencer’s fake reconciliation and plan to trick Esme, he may think forgiveness is possible.
Nikolas may hope that since Esme doesn’t matter to Spencer anymore, it’ll make it easier for him to get past the hookup.
Unfortunately, it’s doubtful Spencer’s going to have that perspective.
Spencer should still be disgusted with Nikolas and may consider this betrayal grounds for a total rejection.
In other words, Spencer may ban Nikolas from his life completely and insist it’s going to stick this time.
It sounds like Nikolas may find himself feeling totally alone after Ava and Spencer turn against him – and it’ll serve him right!
