General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Nikolas Cassadine’s (Marcus Coloma) pharmacy offer may seal Esme Prince’s (Avery Kristen Pohl) pregnancy storyline. Does Nikolas’ hint prove that a baby Cassadine is on the way?
In the June 9 episode, Nikolas provided a clue about his hookup with Esme and the lack of thought that went into it.
That encounter was obviously a wild one that happened in the heat of the moment, so Nikolas wasn’t as prepared as he should’ve been.
While speaking with Esme privately, Nikolas mentioned that he was going out and asked if she needed him to pick anything up from the pharmacy.
Esme assured Nikolas that she had it all taken care of, but something tells us that’s not the case – at least not in the way Nik has in mind!
Nikolas clearly didn’t use protection on his end and was covering his bases.
That pharmacy offer implied that Nikolas wanted to get Esme a morning after pill and ensure there’d be no bun in the oven.
Esme already had one pregnancy scare with Spencer, so Nikolas may be thinking about that by now and hoping to prevent another one.
Of course, since Esme insisted she had it all taken care of, Nikolas may put any baby blunder concerns out of his mind.
However, the fact that GH writers even included this pharmacy conversation seems telling. It felt like a very deliberate thing that would come into play later.
If Esme indeed turns out to be pregnant down the road, Nikolas may bring up the fact that he basically offered up Plan B.
It could lead to drama if Nikolas accuses Esme of lying about handling it.
Nikolas might end up thinking Esme got knocked up on purpose – and maybe she did! That’s certainly something a schemer like Esme would do.
Esme seemed disappointed when Nikolas acted like they were both hurting and in need of comfort when they slept together.
That steamy session didn’t really mean anything to Nikolas, but Esme seems to feel more than Nik and may want to trap him with a child if she can.
There are more reasons to think GH is gearing up for a pregnancy storyline, especially now that Nikolas and Esme have had that pharmacy interaction.
