General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) may grow more and more comfortable with Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) pregnancy lie. GH fans know Nikolas was shocked when Liz first told him about getting backed into a corner with Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton).
Since Elizabeth hadn’t slept with Finn, she certainly couldn’t claim she was pregnant by him.
That left Nikolas as the most logical father option, so Liz went along with Finn’s pregnancy suspicions and claimed Nik was the dad.
The goal was to keep the secret contained, make Finn believe some miscarriage deception in a few weeks and move on.
That plan has already been derailed since Nik told Ava Jerome (Maura West) that he had an affair with Liz and got her pregnant.
Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) will be next in line to learn this Liz baby story, so GH spoilers say trouble’s brewing.
The lie is spreading like wildfire, but that may become a good thing in Nikolas’ eyes.
Nik obviously doesn’t think Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) is cut out to be a mother to his child.
Elizabeth, on the other hand, has already proven she’s a wonderful mother to her boys.
Nikolas may start to envision the perfect fill-in mom for Esme’s newborn when the time comes.
Just how far will Nikolas want Liz to take this fake pregnancy plot?
Nikolas could mull over how Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) faked a whole pregnancy and push Liz to do the same.
From there, Nik might want Elizabeth to pretend she’s given birth herself and just steal Esme’s child.
In Nikolas’ opinion, the baby has to come first.
Nik may argue that Liz will be doing this kid a great service and suggest they can go with his previous plan of dumping Esme on Cassadine Island – isolated and far away from anyone she might expose the truth to.
In other words, Nikolas may decide he wants a two-parent home for this baby and push Liz to fake the remainder of the pregnancy so she can pose as the mother.
That’s not the kind of idea Liz would typically go for, but that may not stop Nikolas from making the pitch!
General Hospital spoilers say Nikolas will want to make some updates to their strategy, but Liz may urge him to stop spreading the fake affair news instead.
