General Hospital Spoilers: Nina Fights Off Hook Attack with Dagger – Obrecht’s Knife Saves Life?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) may fight off a hook attack with the dagger she was given, so Liesl Obrecht’s (Kathleen Gati) knife could save her life! Let’s talk about Liesl’s significant gift and how it might fit into this hook storyline.

On the August 8 episode, Obrecht offered up a gift to celebrate Nina’s success. Nina was given a Japanese tanto, which is a sheathed dagger.

Liesl suggested that Nina should never keep this gift too far away, so she may be glad it’s close by when the time is right!

Now that a deranged killer is running around town spearing people, no one’s going to feel very safe in Port Charles.

It’s reasonable to think Nina might arm herself and start carrying this dagger in her purse.

Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) fears that Sonny’s loved ones may be under attack, so he’s definitely concerned about Nina and anyone else with a connection to him.

Of course, Jordan’s theory may be wrong since Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) wasn’t the intended victim in the alley.

It was Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) that the baddie was really after.

Regardless, what happened to Brando proved that anyone could get hooked by landing in the wrong place at the wrong time.

That includes Nina, who may eventually find herself facing the hook, too.

However, Nina will have something that the other victims didn’t have. Brando and Ava were pretty powerless to fight back against a sharp hook lunging at them.

Nina will be the one who can plunge a dagger right back and hopefully wound her attacker. Even if this person gets away, he or she could end up seriously injured.

That could make it harder to hide if medical attention is needed. The injury could also help prove this person’s guilt once he or she’s discovered.

As for Nina, she may save herself and others with this significant knife. Could Nina come to Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) rescue as well?

That’d be a good way to start shifting Willow’s perspective about Nina ahead of the mother-daughter reveal.

Whatever the case, GH writers had a goal in mind by putting a Japanese tanto in Nina’s hands.

The hook villain won’t be expecting someone to use a dagger in self-defense, so Nina may gain a bloody advantage.

General Hospital spoilers say Liesl’s present is sure to be important down the road, so stay tuned!
