General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) will return for Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) daughter reveal. Phyllis’ New York Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) link is a game-changer and will inevitably play a major role in the revelation to come.
It feels like forever since Phyllis has been seen on canvas, but she’ll pop back up during the week of December 19-23.
Phyllis has perhaps been busy around town – or maybe they’ll write in an excuse about how she was visiting old friends in Nixon Falls.
Regardless, Phyllis will return to fans’ screens for a catch-up session with Nina.
There’ll be a lot to talk about, including Nina’s relationship with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and all the drama that continues to cause.
Nina may wonder if she’s doomed to be a constant source of conflict in Sonny’s life.
It could leave Nina questioning her long-term future with Sonny, but he’ll work to reassure her – and Phyllis will likely do the same.
Even so, Nina may open up about Sonny’s feud with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and her own endless hostility with Willow.
Although Nina decided to stay away from Willow following the fainting incident, she may wish there was a way to end the war – especially since she still misses Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Viron Weaver).
Of course, the real significance of Phyllis’ popping up again will come in the form of her knowledge.
We can’t forget that Phyllis knew Lorraine aka Harmony, who worked in the same New York building where Phyllis cared for comatose Nina.
Phyllis also witnessed just how chummy Harmony was with Nina’s mother, Madeline Reeves (Donna Mills).
If Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) gets updates on any of this, it could shift his investigation in a huge way.
Bottom line, there has to be a reason why Phyllis is suddenly becoming part of the story again.
The writers never really capitalized on Phyllis’ Harmony link, so that should eventually come into play and contribute to the looming big reveal.
