General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) will get a surprise visitor, so Ava Jerome (Maura West) will show up to taunt her ex with some big Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) news. Let’s talk about what’s coming up during the week of December 5-9.
Although Ava is always skeptical about Ryan’s locked-in syndrome, she still enjoys getting in his face and trying to provoke a reaction.
Ava doesn’t know Esme is Ryan’s daughter, but she knows Esme mattered to him since she uncovered their Spring Ridge internship connection.
That’s why Ava taunted Ryan about Esme’s fate the last time she showed up there.
Ryan fumed over Ava acting like Esme was dead, but now Ava may taunt him with the news of Esme’s survival and reappearance.
There’s been a confirmed Esme sighting in Port Charles thanks to Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) encounter with her.
Ava might admit that Esme is alive and still out there plotting – at least as far as she knows.
Since Ava isn’t aware of Esme’s pregnancy or the fact that she’s being held hostage by Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma), she’s a bit out of the loop.
Nevertheless, Ava seems to enjoy feeling like she has power over Ryan – like she’s some gatekeeper of Esme information.
Ryan is cut off from the rest of the world, especially without Esme to fill him in on what’s going on.
Of course, Ryan already knows Esme is alive since she secretly came to visit him and dropped her baby bomb.
Esme and Ryan had a strategy session, but their plan has obviously been derailed by Nikolas holding Esme captive.
Ryan may currently assume the scheme must’ve gone wrong and that Nikolas did something to Esme.
Once Ryan hears about Esme’s run-in with Liz, it could leave confused and even furious.
Ryan may feel like Esme has abandoned him – and Ava could reinforce that idea with all her taunting.
Whatever the case, Ryan is sure to get riled up and may eventually decide it’s time to make his long-awaited escape.
Since Ryan can move and walk just fine, he’s in the prime position to make a quick getaway.
Spring Ridge is a minimum-security prison anyway, but the guards will be especially careless when it comes to Ryan since they think he’s immobile.
