General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) may expose Cody Bell’s (Josh Kelly) Ice Princess quest and lead to his paternity deception trick being revealed. Cody is digging quite a hole for himself, so Sam may be the one who uncovers all his shady behavior.
GH fans know Cody’s ears perked up the moment he heard Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) was Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) father. We’ve seen Cody blatantly try to find out more about Britt’s family – particularly Faison and Peter August (Wes Ramsey).
That makes sense now that we know Peter left Britt a necklace valued at a ballpark of $35 million. Britt had Sam investigate that necklace, which previously belonged to Leopold Taub (Charles Lucia) and was likely stolen by Faison at some point.
The necklace also supposedly contains some gems from the infamous Ice Princess – and there have been several mentions of the curse surrounding it. Cody may face some bad luck due to that curse, but he’ll also just face some consequences based on his own devious decisions.
It’s clear that Cody thought that necklace was his birthright and had a plan to get it back. However, it turns out Cody isn’t Leo’s son, so he doesn’t have any kind of claim to that expensive inheritance.
That’s why Cody lied about the DNA results and claimed Mac Scorpio (John J. York) wasn’t his father. Greedy Cody still wants to get his hands on that necklace, so he’s willing to hurt both Mac and Britt to make that happen.
Fortunately, Cody won’t get away with this for very long – not with Sam and Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) hot on his trail. Spinelli intends to use his algorithm to take a deeper dive into Cody’s background and could play a big role in how things start to unravel.
Of course, Sam has also been working this necklace angle for Britt, so it’s easy to see how she could connect some dots. Someone has to expose Cody’s selfish lies and show his true colors to Britt as well as Mac.
Since Cody appears to have genuine feelings for Britt, he’ll pay the price once his secrets explode. Cody also seems interested in having a real dad deep down, so he’s going to be sorry once Mac turns against him.
Cody won’t get to keep that $35-million necklace either, so he’ll be a loser in every way – and he’ll only have himself to blame! As other GH news comes in, we’ll bring you updates.
