General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) may ask Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) on an official first date. Will Sonny ultimately embrace this fresh start after his Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) split?
Sonny wasted no time in jumping in bed with Nina when he thought his marriage was done.
Now that Carly has truly declared their marriage over, Sonny may turn to Nina once again.
Carly pointed out that Sonny was in love with two women and couldn’t make a choice.
That’s why Carly felt the need to make the choice for Sonny by choosing herself.
Carly obviously doesn’t want to share Sonny’s heart, but Nina seems perfectly content with that.
As far as Nina’s concerned, half of Sonny’s heart is better than none at all!
Now that Carly seems to be inching in the direction of divorce, Sonny may accept that and shift all his attention to Nina.
That could mean Nina will find herself on the receiving end of Sonny’s grand gestures soon.
However, Sonny could start by asking Nina on an official first date.
Although Sonny went on a first date with Nina in Nixon Falls, that doesn’t really count since he was “Mike” at the time.
Nina and “Mike” were living in a little fantasy world, but now they have a chance to pursue something real back in Port Charles.
Sonny is truly Sonny again and will remain single for as long as Carly pushes him away. That could open the door for Nina and Sonny to have an actual relationship.
Some fans have complained about Sonny’s actions being out of character, but are they really? Sonny has never been the most loyal of lovers!
Carly has walked in on Sonny in bed with another woman several times over the years, so this is a typical phase of “CarSon” drama.
Sonny and Carly’s romance will surely come back around like it always does, so it’s just a matter of being patient.
In the meantime, Sonny may concentrate on wooing Nina and giving their own relationship a true chance.
That could create all kinds of family complications and intensify the conflict within the Corinthos clan, so stay tuned.
General Hospital spoilers say Sonny will have to figure out what his future looks like – maybe one without Carly if she sticks to her plan of leaving him.
