General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) are one of those couples that always comes back around. That’s why when Carly divorced Sonny and found a fresh start, most “CarSon” fans held onto hope for the future.
Of course, that hope is still there, but it’s clear that Carly’s latest storyline will delay any reunion chances with Sonny.
Carly’s efforts to keep Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) in the dark on their biological connection will lead to major backlash.
Although Carly may be with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) right now, their romance seems doomed by deception.
Carly’s decision to sabotage Drew’s investigation will inevitably cost her this relationship.
However, that doesn’t mean Carly could go crawling back to Sonny – even if she wanted to.
General Hospital spoilers say Sonny will be furious with Carly as well once all her manipulation and lies come to light.
GH fans know Sonny has fallen hard for Nina, so he’s also become extremely protective of her.
Nina has admitted to feeling a forever void due to the daughter she lost, but she doesn’t realize she actually lost fraternal twin girls.
You can bet Sonny will blow his top when he finds out Carly had the power to reunite Nina with Willow and hid the truth.
Even putting the leukemia issue aside, Carly is doing far worse than Nina did when she hid Sonny in Nixon Falls.
Back then, amnesiac Sonny could’ve sought out his family through an extensive search if he’d wanted to.
Nina didn’t prevent Sonny from digging into anything or offer fake evidence that his family was dead!
All Nina did was keep her mouth shut and fall in love, but Carly has been deceiving Willow and Nina on a whole new level.
That’s going to provoke Sonny’s wrath and make it so “CarSon” fans have a little less hope heading into 2023.
Naturally, Sonny and Carly could still reunite down the road, but this Nina birth mom fiasco will tank any chance of it happening anytime soon!
Carly may have to make some updates to her life and find another love interest once she loses Drew.
That’s difficult news for “CarSon” shippers, but maybe some twists will change the game sooner or later.
