General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) may uncover the Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) twin truth. Will they ruin Carly Corinthos’ (Laura Wright) plan to protect Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen)?
On Harmony Miller’s (Inga Cadranel) deathbed, she begged Carly to make her a promise.
Carly indeed vowed to protect Willow and is hiding the truth about Nina being her bio mom – at least so far.
Of course, this story would probably work better if Harmony hadn’t drugged and tried to kill Carly mere hours beforehand.
Why should Carly keep secrets for Harmony or think anyone’s more dangerous than this homicidal maniac who died after going off the rails?
It seems like a convenient yet flimsy excuse to make Carly look better. GH writers honestly need to just let this be what it is: revenge.
Nina kept Carly’s husband away from her and now Carly has the chance to keep Nina’s daughter away from her, too.
Regardless of whether Carly wants to admit that motive, it has to be a factor here.
Carly will have another heated confrontation with Nina during the week of May 9-13, so that’ll rile Carly up and give her another reason to keep her mouth shut.
However, Sonny could throw off Carly’s attempt to hide Willow and Nina’s biological connection.
Sonny stands the best chance of figuring all this out with Phyllis in his corner.
When Sonny dreamed that Lenny Caulfield (Rif Hutton) appeared to him, he mentioned how Nina wasn’t making him choose sides with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and thought that was such a gift.
Lenny wondered what Sonny would do for Nina in return, so Sonny realized he needed to come up with something special.
What could be more special than reuniting Nina with her biological daughter?
Sonny could find himself in the position to do that, but he needs some clues first.
Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) may provide some by digging into Harmony’s past, which will inevitably bring questions for Phyllis.
That could lead to Phyllis sharing info about her time working in the same building with Harmony, who was quite close to Madeline Reeves (Donna Mills).
Sonny will inevitably get wind of all this and quiz Phyllis as well.
Phyllis has always felt guilty for her role in what happened with Nelle Benson’s (Chloe Lanier) illegal adoption, so this is her shot at alleviating some of that guilt.
By helping Sonny uncover the twin truth, Phyllis can play a role in this grand gift he seems poised to give Nina.
It could be a team effort if Phyllis helps Sonny figure it out and expose the secret Carly’s keeping.
Will Sonny give Nina the gift of a reunion with her biological daughter? Will Nina and Willow come together because of Sonny’s puzzle-solving with Phyllis?
