General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) may propose marriage to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and give Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) her next vengeful reason to keep quiet.
Despite all the drama this relationship has brought to his life, Sonny seems to be falling more in love with Nina every day.
In the November 29 episode, Sonny offered Nina some gorgeous earrings to let her know how much he cared and appreciated her.
Of course, watching Nina open that jewelry box got us thinking about the possibility of another one.
Since Sonny and Nina’s romance is progressing so nicely, it may not be long until he pops the question.
Sonny might offer an engagement ring the next time around, so we have to consider what that would mean for the storyline.
Wedding plans would certainly raise the stakes and ruffle some feathers.
Carly hates Nina’s guts and seems to think she’s doing Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) a huge favor by not telling her that Nina is her biological mother.
However, there’s a vengeful element to all this whether Carly wants to admit it or not.
Nina stole Carly’s husband – and now Carly is stealing her daughter.
Carly is hiding the truth about Willow just like she hid the truth about Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier), but the difference is Willow is still alive for a potential relationship with Nina.
There’s also the matter of Willow needing a bone marrow donor, but Carly isn’t in the loop on that part just yet.
Regardless, Carly is really piling on the lies now that she’s pretending to help search for Willow’s birth parents.
If Sonny proposes to Nina, it could make Carly even more determined to keep her link to Willow under wraps.
The thought of Nina becoming Sonny’s bride could leave Carly extra bitter about the whole situation.
Carly has moved on with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and definitely isn’t sitting around pining for Sonny, but that doesn’t mean she wants Nina to be happy.
It’s clear that Carly would rather see Nina miserable, but she might have to watch her glowing over an engagement instead.
That could add to Carly’s certainty about keeping this bio mom secret under wraps.
Carly might tell herself it’s what’s best for Willow as well as Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Viron Weaver), especially if Nina’s going to be permanently tied to Sonny.
